Social media celebrates Donald Trump’s online comeback.

Social Media Explodes as Former President Donald Trump Returns to X

Social ‍media ‍users went ⁤into a frenzy when former President Donald ‍Trump⁣ made his ‍long-awaited‌ return to X, the platform formerly known⁣ as Twitter.

It had been over a⁤ year since Trump⁢ last posted on X, having been banned from the ‍platform in the aftermath of the events on January 6, 2021. Although his account was reinstated when Elon Musk took over the platform in November 2022, Trump ⁢had chosen to remain active on his own social media site, Truth Social.

Trump’s Memorable Comeback Post

Trump’s first‌ post on X featured a mug⁤ shot ⁤of himself, which ⁢had been released by the Fulton County⁤ Sheriff’s Office. ⁣Alongside the photo, he included ⁢the date, a link to his fundraising⁢ site, and the powerful phrase, “ELECTION INTERFERENCE. NEVER SURRENDER!”

Elon ⁤Musk, the current owner of‍ X, couldn’t help but express his admiration for⁣ Trump’s post, simply commenting, “Next level.”

“Cowards indict their opponents,” remarked Senator Mike Lee (R-UT). “Leaders just lead.”

Former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne, who also had a mug⁢ shot of ⁣his own, chimed in with a lighthearted comment, saying, “All the best ⁢people have mug shots.” Byrne’s arrest in 2013 for attempting to ⁤bring a handgun through airport ⁤security‍ was a memorable incident.

Furthermore, Byrne had been present in a crucial meeting in the Oval Office on December 18, 2020, where strategies for overturning the results⁤ of⁢ the 2020 ⁣election were discussed. The ‌meeting included Trump, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, ‍attorney ⁢Sidney Powell, and other White⁤ House ‍staff.

“I stand with [Donald Trump!] ⁢The political witch-hunt has to stop,” declared suspended Texas Attorney⁤ General Ken Paxton. ⁣”Safe, secure elections matter, and you always have the right to question them.”

“If liberals ⁣really ⁢believed ⁣in democracy, they’d make⁢ their points‍ on the campaign trail ‍instead of⁤ the ⁣courtroom,” expressed ⁤Young⁣ America’s‍ Foundation President Scott Walker. “Truth is, they⁣ don’t want people to even have a chance to vote ‌for ⁢ [Trump].”

Trump’s ‌Return Sparks a Surge in Followers

Since ‌his account reinstatement, Trump had been steadily losing followers on X. However, with ⁣his highly anticipated comeback post, he ‍gained over 160,000 followers in just ‌one day. By midday⁣ Friday, that‌ number had soared to over 260,000.

The 2024 Republican Presidential Nomination

As the 2024 presidential race heats up, Trump finds himself facing ‌off against 13 opponents for the Republican nomination. The⁢ big question remains: If ‌he doesn’t secure⁢ the nomination, will Trump consider running as a⁣ third-party candidate? After all, he had previously‌ refused to sign the⁢ Republican ‌National Committee’s loyalty pledge.
