$914 Social Security payment coming in 29 days.

June Supplemental Security Income Payment

Are you a Supplemental Security Income beneficiary? If so, get ready to receive your monthly payment for June! The payment is worth $914 for individual filers and will be disbursed on Thursday, June 1.

But wait, there’s more! The payments include different amounts of money for individual filers, joint filers, and essential persons. Eligible couples receive $1,371 each month, while essential persons get a monthly payment of $458.

Payment Schedule

Although the payments are usually disbursed on the first of each month, there are exceptions for when the first day of the month falls on a weekend or a holiday. When that happens, the Social Security Administration issues its monthly SSI checks on the last business day before the month begins.

There are multiple months in which two payments are delivered in the same month this year: March, June, September, and December. This is because the first of the month falls on a weekend in April, July, and October, and the first of January is always a holiday.

History of SSI Payments

SSI payments were first issued by the SSA in January 1974, and payment rates have increased for cost-of-living adjustments since 1975, according to the agency.

Don’t miss out on your June payment! Make sure you have everything in order to receive your payment on time.
