Did you hear a loud boom across the Washington, D.C. area on Sunday afternoon? Don’t worry, officials say there’s no threat to the public.
“Authorized” Flight Causes Sonic Boom
The Annapolis Office of Emergency Management has confirmed that the sound was caused by an “authorized” Department of Defense flight. The flight caused a sonic boom, which resulted in the loud noise.
The DC Homeland Security & Emergency Management also reassured the public that there is no threat at this time.
