Soros-Funded Fake News Operation Pushes Facebook to Reinstate Trump Ban

A network of Democratic propaganda sites funded by the progressive billionaire is leading the fight to keep Donald Trump off Facebook.
Courier Newsroom bills itself as the “largest left-leaning news network in the country,” Organised a petition this week to pressure Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter’s Elon Musk to keep Trump off their platforms. Facebook claimed Thursday that it would reinstate Trump “in the coming weeks.” Twitter reinstated Trump’s account in November. However, the former president has yet to post on the site. He was banned by both sites in January 2021 after he was pressured by liberal advocacy groups as well as Democratic lawmakers.
“We cannot allow him to rejoin these platforms and spread more hateful, inaccurate information. Sign the petition now to keep Trump off of Facebook and Twitter,” Courier’s petition says. Blue Amp Action is a Democratic consulting company that circulated the petition via email to Courier supporters. This consulting firm has served a number of Democratic campaigns. President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign paid Blue Amp Action is offering media production services at a cost of $230,000 to its clients in 2020.
A Trump ban could be a boon for Democrats in 2024, as it would prevent them from being deprived the early GOP favorite of access to two of the country’s biggest media platforms. And that aligns with the political goals of Courier Newsroom’s biggest backers.
Laurene Powell Jobs was an important heir to $20 billion that her late husband, Apple founder Steve Jobs had inherited from her. funder ACRONYM, a digital media company behind Courier Newsroom. Washington Free Beacon reported. While the exact nature of Powell Jobs’s ties to ACRONYM and Courier Newsroom are unclear, she is not the only progressive megadonor propping up the group.
In October 2021 George Soros, a progressive billionaire and cofounder of LinkedIn, will meet Reid Hoffman formed Good Information, Inc. Courier Newsroom was acquired by the group. It operates websites that look just like local news papers. Soros, the Democratic party’s biggest donor, gave $1.2 million to Courier Newsroom through his Open Society Foundations in 2021 to support the group’s “non-partisan journalism.”
Courier Newsroom strives to eliminate political disinformation online. Hoffman has supported multiple projects that used disinformation for the election of Democrats. 2017 he funded A project where tech companies created fake social media personsas to suppress Republican voters
