‘Sound of Freedom’ Continues Box Office Domination with Another Big-Budget Film
“Sound of Freedom” Continues to Dominate the Box Office, Defying Hollywood Norms
Move over, big-budget Hollywood movies! “Sound of Freedom” is here to prove that American audiences are hungry for something different. This gripping film, starring Jim Caviezel of “The Passion of the Christ,” tells the true story of a man’s courageous mission to rescue children from the horrors of sex trafficking.
Despite its modest budget, “Sound of Freedom” has already surpassed the domestic box office totals of several major Hollywood releases. According to Box Office Mojo, it has outperformed films like “The Flash,” “Scream VI,” “M3gan,” “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,” and “Air,” among others.
But the success doesn’t stop there. With its current trajectory, this thrilling movie is on track to surpass the box office numbers of Pixar’s “Elemental” and “Fast X.” There’s even a chance it could outshine blockbusters like “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts,” and “Creed III.”
Notably, “Sound of Freedom” has even surpassed the recently released “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” domestically, although it’s important to mention that the Tom Cruise flick is not woke or of poor quality.
So far, “Sound of Freedom” has raked in over $130 million, making it the 14th highest-grossing film in the U.S. this year. And its journey is far from over.
A Global Impact
But the film’s success extends beyond the United States. Angel Studios, the Christian film house behind “Sound of Freedom,” has just announced the movie’s international premiere date.
According to a news release from Angel Studios, the film will soon be available in various countries across Latin America, Europe, and other regions. Jared Geesey, the senior vice president of global distribution for Angel Studios, expressed the studio’s hope to share the film’s powerful message worldwide, as child trafficking is a global issue.
Starting from August 28 to 31, “Sound of Freedom” will launch in South Africa, Australia, Mexico, and approximately a dozen Central and South American countries. In September and October, the film will premiere in the U.K. and Spain.
With its international release, the potential for even greater financial success is immense. Who knows how much more money “Sound of Freedom” could rake in from overseas audiences?
Shaking Up the Movie Industry
No matter how the international numbers turn out, one thing is clear: the liberal movie studios should be worried. “Sound of Freedom” is challenging their industry monopoly and may have just dealt the finishing blow.
