Southwest Airlines announced on Tuesday that it is offering $53 one-way flights on select routes to celebrate its 53rd birthday.
Travelers can purchase tickets according to the terms of the offer until 11:59 p.m. PDT on Thursday, June 20.
Flights within the continental United States must take place on Mondays-Thursdays or Saturdays between Aug. 6 and Dec. 18, with Sept. 2, Oct. 14, Nov. 22-27, and Nov. 29-Dec. 2 blacked out.
International flights or flights to Hawaii and San Juan, Puerto Rico, must take place on Tuesdays or Wednesdays between Aug. 20 and Nov. 20, with Sept. 3 blacked out.
According to Southwest’s announcement, examples of $53 one-way flights include:
— Atlanta to Tampa
— Austin to Dallas
— Chicago (Midway) to Minneapolis/St. Paul
— Las Vegas to San Diego
— Los Angeles (LAX) to Phoenix

The cost of the ticket includes two checked bags.
Southwest’s first flight was on June 18, 1971, out of Dallas.
