Stacey Abrams returns with a new novel, eager to flip Southern states to the Democratic Party.
Stacey Abrams Resurfaces with New Book and Plans to Turn Southern States Blue
Twice-failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is back in the spotlight with a new fiction book titled “Rogue Justice” and a desire to turn a couple of southern states blue.
In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Abrams discussed her new book, and Media Research Center’s Curtis Houck described the interview as “what one could call the interview equivalent of a back or foot massage at a five-star hotel and spa.”

Despite her controversial past, Abrams is eyeing Mississippi and Kentucky as potential states to turn blue. In an interview with MSNBC, she said, “I think that we have an exciting set of elections coming up in Mississippi with Brandon Presley running against a very weakened Tate Reaves. I think that Andy Beshear is going to put on a very credible race against Daniel Cameron. He has been a strong governor, and that is a real opportunity.”
It remains to be seen whether Abrams can accomplish her goal, but her determination is undeniable.
Controversial Past
Abrams’ past is riddled with controversy. After the 2018 election, she refused to concede on election night and spent the next four years claiming that Governor Brian Kemp (R) had effectively stolen the election from her. She also alleged that he was suppressing the black vote even further after he signed election reform laws that included items such as voter ID.
Despite record early turnout and little wait times during the primary and general elections, Abrams alleged that the overall smooth process was not necessarily evidence that suppression did not exist. Other Democrats concurred with that assessment.
In the waning days of her campaign, she spent her time appearing at concerts pushing abortion and claimed that Republicans wanted to outlaw certain friends from playing with each other and would force parents to lie.
In 2022, Abrams was trounced by Kemp, who won with 53.4% of the vote.
Abrams also has experience abroad acting as a part of a 40-member crew observing polls in Nigeria’s elections.
