Star’s children’s book fights against attacks on traditional masculinity.

The⁢ Test of Lionhood: A Children’s Book Promoting Positive Masculinity

Kevin Sorbo, the ⁤former ⁤star of the Hercules TV series, ⁤is on a mission to teach boys the importance of embracing their masculinity. ⁣In his first children’s book, “The Test of⁤ Lionhood,” Sorbo encourages young boys to reclaim their societal ⁤role, pushing back against the⁤ “woke” culture’s⁢ attack on masculinity.

Sorbo, who ‌is also an ‍actor, writer, and ⁤producer, recently ⁤spoke with The Epoch Times about his book.⁣ He expressed ‌concern about the confusion among men caused by Hollywood’s portrayal of‍ masculinity in movies, TV shows, and ⁢magazines.

Rejecting the Cultural Disdain⁤ for‍ Masculinity

“There’s a‌ confused generation of men out there because of what Hollywood’s‍ doing with their movies, and TV⁢ shows, and magazines,” Sorbo said.

Sorbo points out that even beloved characters like Barbie⁣ and Indiana Jones have fallen⁤ victim to the emasculation trend in Hollywood. Barbie’s⁢ strong⁣ female lead diminishes Ken, portraying him as nothing more than a prop in a female-dominated world.⁤ Similarly, Indiana Jones, once a swashbuckling archaeologist, is now portrayed as ⁢a⁢ bumbling old white guy ⁤in the ‌latest ⁢installment of the franchise.

Embracing Positive Masculinity

“I⁣ think Hollywood has done an amazing job to ⁣emasculate men. It has done an amazing ‌job to make it ⁣look like women are the only ones you can trust to be the saviors of the universe,” Sorbo said.

Sorbo emphasizes that ⁤embracing ‍masculinity does‍ not‍ detract from women’s equality. He believes⁣ that men and women have⁤ different but ⁢equally essential roles in the family. According to Sorbo, Hollywood has been working to dismantle the nuclear‌ family and the patriarchal system for decades.

Teaching‍ Essential ⁤Values

“The Test of Lionhood” is a children’s book that promotes positive masculinity. It tells the story of a lion cub who must⁤ rely‌ on the lessons he learned from his father to save his sister‌ from danger.

Sorbo’s book⁢ also addresses the importance of overcoming adversity, a lesson he learned‍ from his own upbringing. ⁤Growing up in a family ⁢with limited financial resources, ‌Sorbo worked as a caddie at a local country club. He ⁤sought advice from successful golfers, who shared ⁤stories⁢ of their failures and eventual ⁢success.

Concerned about the influence of ⁢public schools on children, Sorbo⁢ believes that they are being “brainwashed” to question their identities.‌ He urges society to allow ⁢boys to be boys and⁤ girls to be girls, rather than encouraging ⁣gender confusion at a‌ young age.

Despite the ⁢pushback, Sorbo ⁣remains committed to his‍ mission. He plans to⁤ read his‍ children’s‍ book to⁤ students at ‍a public ⁤elementary school⁣ in New Jersey, following in the footsteps of other authors ⁤published by Brave Books.

Promoting Positive Masculinity Nationwide

Brave Books, ‍the conservative children’s book publisher, recently organized a nationwide “See You at the Library” book-reading event. Authors like⁤ Kirk Cameron joined forces to promote traditional values and positive masculinity.

Through⁤ “The Test of Lionhood” ‌and ‍his ⁢advocacy, Kevin Sorbo aims to empower young boys to embrace their masculinity and ⁢fulfill their essential roles in⁤ society.
