State Senator Dave Min Pleads No Contest to Misdemeanor Drinking and Driving
In an unfortunate turn of events, State Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine), who is currently running for Congress, recently pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor drinking and driving charge in Northern California. This incident has raised concerns and cast a shadow over his political campaign.
On August 29, Mr. Min appeared in Sacramento County Superior Court and pleaded no contest to driving under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit of 0.08. As a result, he was sentenced to two days in jail, three months in a first offender program, and placed on three years of informal probation.
The first offender program includes 30 hours of alcohol and drug education counseling, which will hopefully help Mr. Min address his behavior and make better choices in the future.

Mr. Min was subsequently arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and booked into the Sacramento County Jail without incident.
