A Guaranteed Income Program in Wisconsin
A guaranteed income program in Wisconsin is set to issue its latest payment, worth $500, to recipients in just under a week. This program, known as the Madison Forward Fund, provides monthly payments to 155 households in Madison, Wisconsin. Recipients have the freedom to spend the money as they see fit.
July Payment Issued a Day Earlier
Typically, payments are issued on the first day of each month. However, due to July 1 falling on a Saturday, the July payment will be issued a day earlier on Friday, June 30. The program manager confirmed this change to the Washington Examiner.
Eligibility and Survey Compensation
To be eligible for these payments, recipients must be residents of Madison, Wisconsin, at least 18 years old, and have at least one child aged 17 or younger living with them. Additionally, their annual income must be below 200% of the federal poverty level, which varies based on household size.
Recipients are also required to complete online surveys every six months, which take approximately 30 minutes to finish. The answers provided in these surveys are completely confidential, and recipients will receive $30 compensation for each survey completed.
Opportunity for More Families
While only 155 families currently receive the monthly payments, an additional 200 families have been given the opportunity to participate in the surveys.
