Stimulus update: Direct $500 payment to be sent to more than 300 families in four days
FThe amilies who were chosen to receive money California’s Guaranteed Income Program will receive their next $500 payment within four days.
Sonoma County In its Pathway to Income Equity program, 305 families were selected to receive $500 each month for two years. Officials will examine the impact of the extra income on poverty reduction and economic mobility for young families. According to The Sonoma County Administrator’s Office.

“These payments will help families with young children who are often struggling under the double burden of the high costs of housing and child care — typically the two highest household expenses,” Chris Coursey, Chairman of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, said: “The information we gain from this pilot program will help shape future efforts to improve the health and welfare of our community.”
Angie Dillon–Shore, director of First 5 Sonoma County’s nonprofit group, spoke to the Washington Examiner These payments will be sent to the recipients on the third Wednesday each month, with the final payment being issued in December 2024.
