Stormy Daniels Eager to Testify in Trump Trial

Stephanie Clifford, the adult film actress and stripper widely known as Stormy Daniels, has offered to provide testimony in the trial of former President Donald J. Trump, whose indictment centers around alleged hush money payments to Clifford. The charges were brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on March 30.

The indictment pertains to payments made by Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, to Clifford, which she has stated were intended to buy her silence about her consensual relationship with Trump in 2006. Daniels has denied any sexual relations in a statement she signed in 2018 but later admitted on “60 Minutes” to being untruthful.

In an interview with Times Radio, Daniels stated that she has not been officially called to testify. Nevertheless, she participated in a video conference with prosecutors at the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and is willing to speak out in court about her experience. When asked if she was scared to face Trump in court, she said she was not afraid.

Daniels has also criticized her former attorney, Michael Avenatti, who previously represented her. Avenatti was sentenced to four years in prison in 2022 for stealing almost $300,000 in book sale proceeds from Daniels.
