Taxpayer-funded NewsGuard found to exhibit strong bias against conservatives
In a recent study published by Media Research Center (MRC) Free Speech America, shocking findings revealed that NewsGuard, the taxpayer censorship giant responsible for rating media outlets on reliability, has shown a clear bias towards left-leaning outlets over right-leaning ones. This is the third year in a row that MRC has exposed NewsGuard’s partisanship, and according to MRC, the bias has only gotten worse.
Using AllSides, an organization that categorizes media outlets based on their political bias, MRC researchers discovered that NewsGuard consistently gave high credibility ratings to left-leaning outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, TIME, and Vox, with an average score of 91/100. On the other hand, right-leaning outlets like Fox News, the New York Post, and The Daily Wire received significantly lower scores, averaging only 65/100.
