Sununu and Trump disagree on 2024 presidential race.

New Hampshire ⁢Governor Takes Shots at Former ‌President, Trump Fires Back

New Hampshire Governor ‌Chris ⁢Sununu didn’t hold back in his criticism ⁤of ‍former President Donald Trump, sparking ⁢a heated exchange ⁤on social⁢ media.

Sununu made his remarks during an interview on Hugh Hewitt’s⁤ radio show,‌ where he questioned ⁤the ⁣significance of national polls and emphasized the importance of‌ New Hampshire and‍ Iowa in determining the Republican⁢ primary ⁤winner.

“So,‌ national polls, I get ‌national polls. But where’s the conversation really happening? New Hampshire and ⁤Iowa.”

“He’s, I think, three of the last ‍four polls, I‍ think, out, from ‌Real Clear Politics, has him ‍under 40, right? ‌I⁤ think he’s averaging like‌ 44% or something in Iowa.”

Sununu acknowledged that some Republicans still support Trump due to his ‌past accomplishments, but argued that it doesn’t necessarily make him the best⁢ candidate for the job.

During an interview on Fox News, Sununu continued ⁣his critique of the former president, ‌highlighting Trump’s ‍lackluster performance in Iowa, his use ⁣of campaign donor money for legal bills, and the significance of an incumbent⁢ polling below 40% in early states.

In response, Trump took to social media to fire back at Sununu,‍ dismissing him as a ‌”RINO” (Republican In⁣ Name Only)⁢ and claiming⁢ that Sununu has no chance of winning the presidency.

Trump wrote,‍ “The people of⁢ New Hampshire have⁤ gotten wise ⁤to Chris Sununu, ⁤and they no longer like or‌ respect ⁢him. I ⁣never liked him, but always did whatever he asked for the State, because I wanted to help New Hampshire, and I did!”

Despite the exchange, recent‌ polling shows that Sununu remains the fourth most⁢ popular governor in⁤ the country, while Trump maintains his position as the GOP frontrunner in the latest polls.
