Superstar Dua Lipa definitely got everyone’s attention when she gave fans their first glimpse of her big screen debut in the upcoming film “Argylle.”

The 26-year-old pop singer posted a photo on Instagram Tuesday in which she was rocking short blonde hair and a metallic gold-sequined sleeveless dress while she appeared to be dancing in the arms of her co-star actor Henry Cavill in a scene from the action-packed adventure movie.

She captioned the post simply, “First look!! Coming soon… #Argylle @marv_films.”

The superstar singer will appear sometime this year in the spy thriller with veterans of the business like Cavill, Samuel L. Jackson, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Sam Rockwell, among many others, reported Variety.

The film from MARV, the U.K. based studio, is being lead by “Kingsman” director Matthew Vaughn.

“When I read this early draft manuscript I felt it was the most incredible and original spy franchise since Ian Fleming’s books of the 50s,” Vaughn previously told The Hollywood Reporter. “This is going to reinvent the spy genre.”

“We are delighted that we will be starting our fourth, and by far the biggest, feature film production since the start of the global pandemic,” MARV CEO Zygi Kamasa shared at the time. “It demonstrates both our desire to scale up our production activity and our ambition to continue to launch new franchises beyond the ‘Kingsman’ series of films.”

In March 2021, the “Levitating” hitmaker told the Los Angeles Times  she was in the process of what she said was an inevitable transition from singing to the big screen.

Lipa didn’t explain a whole lot more about what that meant but did share she had been reading scripts, without revealing what the project might be.

“I love the spectacle of what was basically a theater production in a nightclub,” the singer explained after participating in a live event inspired by Studio 54.

In July 2021, news surfaced the pop singer would be making her first appearance on the big screen in an all-star spy thriller, reported the Hollywood Reporter.

Earlier this year, she talked about how her family and inner circle keeps her “so grounded” as she gets ready to make her movie debut, reported WSJ. magazine. The comments were reported by People magazine.

“Something that I’ve realized over time is how little people actually know,” Lipa shared with the magazine. “I’ve made peace with the fact that people can think what they want to think, but no one really, truly knows what’s happening behind closed doors.”

“My family and my friends keep me so grounded, and it gives me some kind of comfort that not everything is out there that would take away from your life and privacy,” she added.

During the same interview she touched on music she’s working on and said she it was still in “baby form.”

“I’m always going to make pop music, but it has its own unique sound, which is exciting and something that feels like a movement from Future Nostalgia,” Lipa explained at the time. “It’s still in baby form, so we’ll see as it progresses.”
