Suspect Identified in Monterey Park Shooting That Killed Ten
The body of a mass shooting suspect was found after allegedly killing 10 people In a Saturday night attack in Monterey Park (CA), he injured 10 other people.
Huu Can Tan, 72, died from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head in a white van. Authorities claim that the suspect fled the scene. Tran, along with a gun and other evidence, was found in Torrance about 30 minutes away from Monterey Park. Monterey Park is at the eastern edge Los Angeles.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office stated that no other suspects are at large and that it is not clear what the motive might be.
In the shooting incident at Star Ballroom Dance Studio, five men and five women were killed. Monterey Park The sheriff’s department said that another 10 people were also hurt. The incident took place in a city with a large Asian population. It was also during Lunar New Year festivities.

On Sunday Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna Tran was the suspect in Monterey Park shooting. Authorities found Tran’s body in the van used for fleeing the scene. The van was found in Torrance also contained a handgun.
It is unclear if Tran was targeting specific individuals or firing randomly when he began to shoot.
He had apparently attempted to perform a second shoot in the Lai Lai Ballroom of Alhambra around 30 minutes after his initial incident. But, people at that location took his handgun from him and he fled.

In a Sunday media interview, Tran’s wife stated that her husband used give informal lessons at Star Ballroom Dance Studio.
Another long-time friend also claimed that Tran used to visit the dance studio frequently, but it is not clear when he last visited the studio.
