Suspected University of Idaho Murderer Bryan Kohberger Being Investigated In Relation to Pennsylvania Homicides
Investigators in two Pennsylvania counties where Bryan Kohberger attended school are now scrutinizing their cold cases files for potential links to the Idaho college murders that occurred in November 2022.
Kohberger, who is 28 years old, is the prime suspect in the killing of four Idaho students, Ethan Chapin, Maddie Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, and Xana Kernodle. The murders occurred in their off-campus home on Kings Road in Moscow, Idaho, as reported by The Post Millennial.
Until now, authorities had said that Kohberger had no past criminal record. However, Pennsylvania authorities in at least two counties are now looking into other cases that could be linked to Kohberger, according to the Daily Mail.
Terence Houck, the Northampton County District Attorney, said that his team is researching whether Kohberger’s methods of alleged murder in Idaho match the descriptions of cold cases in his Pennsylvania county. Houck questioned “Is his name out there?” and “Did he do anything here in (my) county?”
Kohberger reportedly attended Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and investigators are delving into the school’s records to see if they can find any connections. The Daily Mail stated that Kohberger may also have attended classes at a satellite campus in Monroe County. Despite researching records that matched Kohberger’s “height, weight, and method of operation,” there have not yet been any links to criminal cases in the state.
Jim Martin, District Attorney of Lehigh County, stated that Kohberger spent four years studying criminology at DeSales University. However, the only information that came back on Kohberger in the county was a single 911 call where his car was locked behind a gate on a bike trail. Kohberger thanked the police and apologized for the inconvenience, per the report. Martin started to have similar thoughts as Houck, but there have been no leads for Kohberger in the two Pennsylvania counties yet.
According to the New York Post, Kohberger may have also harassed female employees at Seven Sirens Brewing Company in Pennsylvania. The owner suggested that Kohberger would become upset if they did not answer his questions, including where they lived.
After Kohberger’s arrest in Idaho, several images of one of the female victims were found in his possession. Kohberger is also believed to have controlled the Reddit account InsideLooking and the Facebook account Pappa Rodgers, both of which speculated about the Idaho murders that turned out to be true, even before the information was made public, as reported by the Daily Mail.
