Swimmer Riley Gaines challenges Democrat fathers against sports bill: Want daughter with men in locker room?
Riley Gaines: Fighting for Fairness in Women’s Sports
Former collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines is making waves in the fight for women’s sports. In a recent interview on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Gaines called out Democrat lawmakers who opposed the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, accusing them of putting their political interests above their responsibilities as parents.
The Battle for Fairness
Gaines, who tied against transgender swimmer Lia Thomas at last year’s NCAA championships, has become a spokeswoman for the Independent Women’s Forum and a vocal advocate for sex-based protections in women’s sports. She finds it baffling that male lawmakers with daughters were willing to succumb to political pressure while foregoing their obligations as fathers to protect their children.
“Do they want their daughters sharing locker rooms with men? Do they want their daughters losing out on opportunities being asked to kindly step aside and give away their trophy to a man? Is that what they want?” Gaines asked.
Gaines believes that the answer is no, yet many lawmakers are willing to throw female safety out the window in favor of trans rights. She calls them spineless, with no backbone, morals, or courage.
The Fight Continues
Gaines made her comments after a California high school senior went viral for her passionate speech in which she took her school district to task for allowing a biologically male student to use the women’s locker room. The student said the school was putting the safety of women in “jeopardy” by allowing transgender students to use the same bathroom and locker rooms as female students, alluding to a physical altercation captured in a viral video showing a transgender student assaulting a female student on campus.
Gaines believes that women are fighting for sex-based protections, but it’s mind-boggling that many women and schools are putting trans rights above female safety. She urges women to be bold and use their voices to protect fairness in women’s sports.
- Gaines never called herself a feminist until taking up the battle of protecting fairness in women’s sports
- The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act seeks to amend Title IX to prohibit schools that receive federal funding from allowing biological men from participating in women’s sports
- All the “yes” votes for the bill came from Republicans, and all the “no” votes came from Democrats
Gaines is a force to be reckoned with in the fight for women’s sports. She believes that the war on women is underway, and the Democrats will pay for this in 2024. It’s time for women to stand up and fight for fairness in sports.
Biden to Veto GOP Bill Protecting Women’s Sports, Calls it ‘Discrimination’ Against Transgender Students
Transgender Student Expelled After Assaulting Female Student on Campus
According to Fox 11 in Los Angeles, parents have reported that a transgender student with a history of “erratic and uncomfortable behavior” assaulted a female student on campus. The transgender student had access to the girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms, and students have reported that the student “shows his genitals” in the girl’s locker room. The student was later expelled from the school, and the Riverside Police have claimed that this was not the first time the transgender student has been involved in an altercation.
Female Athlete Speaks Out Against Transgender Athletes in Women’s Sports
Riley Gaines, a spokeswoman for the Independent Women’s Forum, famously tied Lia Thomas for fifth place in the 200 Freestyle finals at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships last year. Gaines was forced to share a locker room with transgender swimmer Lia Thomas when they competed against each other as NCAA athletes, an event that sparked her fight to protect women’s sports. Gaines has turned her attention to the mothers and female role models who have been silent on the issue, stating that “it seems to be whether that be at the state level, the federal level, across the general public, it seems that it’s women who are fighting the sex-based protections….it’s mind-boggling.”
- Gaines finds it “ironic” that the left was once a party that embraced women and fought for women’s rights.
- Gaines believes that the war on women is underway, and the Democrats will pay for this in 2024.
It’s time for women to be bold and use their voice to protect women’s sports and sex-based protections. The Democrats’ decision to veto the GOP bill protecting women’s sports is discrimination against female athletes and a threat to women’s rights.
