After claiming she was assaulted by trans-rights protesters during a speech about defending women’s’s sports at San Francisco State University, swimmer Riley Gaines threatened to take” legal action” on Saturday.
” The school law took no action.” The student professor was present but did everything. Gaines told Rachel Campos – Duffy, host of” Fox & Friends Weekend ,”” There won’t be any consequences unless I have something to do with it.”
I’ll’ll be filing a lawsuit, I promise. These individuals must deal with consequences.
The former NCAA swimmer and 12-time All-American champion claimed that a crowd of protesters attacked her as she spoke about including transgender athletes in women’s’s athletes at the Turning Points USA ceremony on Thursday at SF State.
Serious video that Gaines posted on Twitter depicts her being led by security out of a classroom and into the hallway as protesters pursue her.
Transgender rights are human rights, one of the activists shouts in front of her, and she responds,” Yeah, you f-king transphobic beef, I’ll’ll see you!”
She tweeted,” I was ambushed and actually hit twice by a fella. The captives are running the asylum at SFSU.”
Gaines was escorted to a secure place, where she claimed she was barricaded” for three hours ,” according to additional images posted on social media showing stability separating her from the crowd of protesters.
Gaines told Campos – Duffy,” Truly, I think these people turn to indignation, both verbally and physically, and violence because they know they don’t have thing on their hand.” ” They cannot argue with me using logic, knowledge, or any other kind of evidence that backs up their claim, so they turn to individual assaults.”
Gaines, a former University of Kentucky swimmer, has voiced her disapproval of transgender women’s’s gymnastics after competing against transgender Penn swimmer Lia Thomas, who finished second in the national swimming market last flower.
On Friday, the university’s’s police bureau informed The Post that no arrests had occurred as a result of the protests.
According to a spokeswoman,” We are still looking into the matter.”
” UPD soldiers had to move the party speaker from the space to a different, secure location because of the disturbance, which happened after the events had ended.”
