Swiss Billionaire Hansjörg Wyss Becomes Dem Mega-Donor

According to the Associated Press( AP ), Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss, who resides in Wyoming, has turned into a” Democrat-aligned mega-donor” by giving left-wing organizations hundreds of millions of dollars.

According to the AP,” just accessible tax documents show that Wyss’s’s getting through the Berger Action Fund, which claims to advocate for” solutions to some of our biggest problems,” increased to$ 72 million in 2021, solidifying his status as a Democratic-aligned megadonor.”

Wyss, who amassed his wealth by founding the medical device company Synthes USA, which was sold to Johnson & Johnson for$ 20 billion in 2012, has since routed nearly$ 340 million through the Berger Action Fund to left-wing organizations like Sixteen Thirty Fund and the New Venture Fund.

Both organizations have worked to increase support for the plan of President Joe Biden.

In particular, Sixteen Thirty Fund is a left-wing advocacy group that supports common care, climate change policy, and” collateral and racial justice.” Additionally, the Sixteen Thirty Fund transfers funds to left-wing social groups like the scandal-torn Lincoln Project and the pro-Biden class Unite the Country.

According to Politico’s’s report from 2021, the team spent$ 410 million in the 2020 presidential election to oust then-President Donald Trump and lose Democrats a Senate bulk through advertising campaigns and an enormous get-out-vote campaign. Wyss has given the Sixteen Thirty Fund$ 208 million since 2016.

Politico opined:

The Sixteen Thirty Fund’s multi-million dollar grants singlehandedly powered some other organizations on the left, and it also incubated other groups, as a “fiscal sponsor,” that fought against Trump’s Supreme Court nominees, backed liberal ballot measures and policy proposals in different states and organized opposition to Republican tax and health care policies. [Emphasis added]

Its massive 2020 fundraising and spending illustrates the extent to which the left embraced the use of “dark money” to fight for its causes in recent years. After decrying big-money Republican donors over the last decade, as well as the Supreme Court rulings that flooded politics with more cash, Democrats now benefit from hundreds of millions of dollars of undisclosed donations as well. The New Venture Fund, meanwhile, bases its charitable work on the tenets of Critical Race Theory( CRT ) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion( DEI ), which has received nearly$ 40 million in donations from Wyss since 2016.

According to the group’s’s mission statement,” our vision is an equitable world built on respect, access, opportunity, distributed power, and advancement for all people.”

The New Venture Fund and the Sixteen Thirty Fund supported pro-CRT initiatives across the country last year in an effort to discredit parents of children and some instructors who disagree with the race-based concept being used in American schools.

According to Fox News:

A liberal dark money campaign has quietly formed to push back against anti-Critical Race Theory efforts in K-12 schools across the United States, records reviewed by Fox News Digital show. [Emphasis added]

Campaign for Our Shared Future, however, is a part of one of the most well-known left-wing dark capital networks in the United States, despite the fact that it claims to be an” non-partisan” community work. [ Imphasis added ]

The 501( c ) ( 3 ) educational arm of the organization, Campaign for Our Shared Future, is fiscally supported by the New Venture Fund, according to Washington, D. C. business records. The Sixteen Thirty Fund, meanwhile, includes Campaign for Our Shared Future Action Fund’s’s 501( c )( 4 ) advocacy division. Early in May, the capital registered the relevant groups. Similar to Wyss, the Fund for a Better Future organization considers” diversity, equity, and inclusion” to be” moral imperatives and essential to their mission in advancing left-wing causes” and has received more than$ 100 million from the organization.

In 2021, The Fund for a Better Future spent more than$ 5 million supporting 30 House Democrats against Republicans in the midterm elections of the previous year. This was done to promote Biden’s’s” Build Back Better” agenda, particularly its green energy initiatives.

Wyss previously gave millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation and serves on the board of directors of the highly influential Center for American Progress( CAP ), as Breitbart News reported in 2021.

Wyss has given thousands to the left-wing Priorities USA and CAP.

The Hub Project was established in 2015 by Wyss Foundation mainly” to form media coverage to make Democratic makes ,” according to the New York Times.

According to the Times,” The Hub Project’s’s functions include planning paid marketing campaigns that criticized Republican congressional candidates in 2018 as well as a number of rallies in 2017 that demanded that then-President Donald J. Trump release his tax returns.”

Wyss donated nearly$ 120,000 to candidates and political action committees( PACs ) from 1990 to 2006, despite being prohibited by U.S. election law from doing so directly, according to the Times. Wyss was never the subject of formal complaints from the Federal Election Commission( FEC ), and the statute of limitations has since been passed to do so.
