System Outage Grounds All Domestic Flights

According to the agency, the Notice to Air Missions System (which sends important notices to pilots) is currently being reloaded. Multiple airlines have reported issues with flight clearances.

The FAA responded to the tweet with a 20-minute follow-up tweet stating that all domestic flights would be grounded. “allow the agency to validate the integrity of flight and safety information.”

United Airlines, American Airlines and Southwest Airlines confirmed that the problem would impact flight operations. United saying All domestic flights were “temporarily delayed” In the meantime, please contact the FAA for more information.
Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg declared Wednesday morning that he will be “in touch with FAA” It is “working to resolve this issue swiftly.”
“I have been in touch with FAA this morning about an outage affecting a key system for providing safety information to pilots. FAA is working to resolve this issue swiftly and safely so that air traffic can resume normal operations, and will continue to provide updates,” Buttigieg Tweet just after 7 a.m.
