Target refuses to sell Mark Levin’s new book, fearing it may offend Democrats. However, the company denies this claim.

Target Faces Backlash for Refusing to Sell Mark Levin’s New Book

Target has found itself in the midst of controversy once again. After receiving criticism for prominently displaying LGBT “pride” merchandise in stores, the retail giant is now facing backlash for refusing to sell conservative author Mark Levin’s upcoming book, “The Democrat Party Hates America.”

In a tweet, Levin revealed that Target had informed his publisher, Simon & Schuster, that they would not carry his book due to concerns that the title might offend certain customers. Levin called this move “corporatist left-wing censorship.”

Levin encouraged interested readers to order his book online instead. He expressed gratitude to Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and Books-A-Million for supporting his work.

Target’s decision sparked outrage on social media, with many accusing the company of censorship.

Target responded to the controversy, stating that they had never banned Levin’s book. While they expressed concern about the word “hate” in the title, they clarified that the book would be available for sale on its release date.

The Western Journal reached out to Target for further comment, and the company provided the following statement:

“We’ve been offering this book for pre-sale since mid-June. As we have with Mark Levin’s past books, many of which are currently available for sale at Target, we’ll offer his newest title for sale when it is available on September 19.

The use of the word ‘hate’ in the title caused our team to reach out to the publisher, but as stated, we are continuing to offer this book for pre-sale now and it will be available for sale on its release date. We regret any confusion this situation caused.”
