Teachers at US-Funded Palestinian Schools Promote Hate and Violence Against Jews on Social Media, Report Finds
According to a statement, teachers frequently call for the death of Jews and produce textbooks that exalt terrorism.
According to a report by impartial guardian groups, Arab schools that receive funding from U.S. taxpayers” periodically call to death Jews and create teaching materials that glorify terrorism, encourage martyrdom, demonize Israelis, and incite anti-Semitism.”
According to the report, 133 members of the UNRWA, including teachers and people,” were found to promote hate and violence on public press ,” praising Israeli terrorist attacks and endorsing the violent organization Hamas, which is active in the Gaza Strip. A U.S. – funded organization called UNRWA conducts business in the Palestinian territories.
According to the report, an additional 82 UNRWA teachers and staff are reportedly involved in” writing, supervising, approving, printing, and distributing nasty content to individuals” at more than 30 schools.
The article sheds light on how UNRWA-run school use educational products that support the destruction of Israel and employ anti-Semitic instructors. The report, which was co-authored by U. N. Watch and the Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education, both of which monitor UNRWA, claims to uphold a” zero – allowance” policy on prejudice and hatred, but its education materials are riddled with anti-Semitism.
The results, which were just presented to Congress, are probably going to help House and Senate lawmakers continue their efforts to defund UNRWA, a nonprofit organization that receives more than$ 500 million from American taxpayers. The group’s funding was largely cut off during the Trump administration but was resumed in 2021 by the Biden administration, which approved a$ 150 million payment for the organization.
According to U. N. Watch’s description of the statement,” The anger is widespread at UNRWA, and its inner self-auditing systems are not fit for objective.”
Fifth-grade students are shown being taught to exalt jihadists who have killed Israelis in class lectures obtained by the watchdog types. Many educational products encourage students to take part in the violent derangement of the Israeli government.
According to the report, one lesson given to ninth-grade students at an UNRWA school referred to Jewish bus war as a” picnic event.” Another fifth-grade teaching also lists martyrdom as one of” the most important meaning of life.”
Congress has long been divided over UNRWA’s overt anti-Semitism and support for terrorism.
Sens. James Risch of Idaho and Rep. Chip Roy of Texas introduced legislation in February that would halt U.S. efforts to UNRWA until significant changes were put into place.
In a speech to the Washington Free Beacon at the time, Risch stated that UNRWA had” a lengthy history of employing men connected to criminal groups like Hamas, promoting anti-Semitic books. It is improbable that tax money from the United States would be used to support such a group. Unless the government certifies that UNRWA is not affiliated with U.S. designated foreign terrorist entities and does not endorse anti-Semitic language, this policy will stop American contributions to the organization.
