Tech Mogul Stabbed To Death In San Francisco

The victim of a fatal stabbing in San Francisco on Tuesday morning has been identified as Bob Lee, a 43-year-old tech mogul. The police were alerted at around 2:35 a.m. to a stabbing in the 300 block of Main Street, and when they arrived, Lee was found with apparent stab wounds. Despite the best efforts of the police and medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries. Lee was the founder of Cash App and the former CTO of Square.

The police are still investigating the event and haven’t made any arrests thus far. Joshua Goldbard, CEO of MobileCoin, released a statement saying, “Bob was a dynamo, a force of nature. Whatever he imagined, no matter how crazy, he made it real.” Former UFC fighter Jake Shields also tweeted his condolences for the loss of his friend and speculating that Lee could have been targeted in a random mugging or attack in the “good” part of the city. Shields went on to criticize San Francisco’s handling of crime.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk responded to Shields’ tweet expressing his sympathy for Lee’s passing and expressing concern over the issue of violent crime in San Francisco. Musk gave voice to victims of said crime who have been severely assaulted, stating that attackers are often immediately released even when they’re caught. He questioned whether San Francisco is taking stronger action to incarcerate repeat violent offenders.
