Eric Schwerin’s Account Contradicts James Biden’s Explanation for Loan Payments
Hunter Biden’s former financial confidant, Eric Schwerin, who had intimate knowledge of Joe Biden’s fiscal matters, has recently derailed James Biden’s narrative to House investigators regarding internal family loans.
During a probing session with House officials, captured in a comprehensive 164-page transcript, Schwerin recounted his behind-the-scenes look at the Biden family’s finances. As their unofficial accountant, Schwerin’s oversight extended through the pivotal tax seasons up to 2017.
Despite his unfettered access to the Bidens’ financial affairs, Schwerin found no evidence of Joe Biden distributing loans from his personal accounts.
When honed in on potential monetary transactions to James and Sarah Biden, Schwerin’s reply was clear—he did not “recall” witnessing such financial exchanges. This starkly contrasts with James Biden’s previous testimony, where he described substantial amounts sent to Joe Biden in 2017 and 2018 as personal loan reimbursements.
Despite clocking over 30 White House visits, Schwerin maintains that his financial stewardship was unpaid, acting out of camaraderie rather than for compensation.
An interviewer posed a challenging thought, “Isn’t there a conflict of interest when offering free financial management for the vice president while partnering with his son and enjoying privileged access?” Schwerin justified that his White House interactions were solely finance-focused.
It wasn’t monetary gains that marked Schwerin’s service; instead, in 2015, it manifested as a prestigious appointment to the U.S. Commission on the Preservation of America’s Heritage—a nod he attributes to the vice president and his team.
In his deposition, Schwerin also verified the utilization of the alias “Robinware456” by Biden for private email exchanges, suggesting an effort to sidestep the Presidential Records Act and keep certain communications out of the public eye.
Investigations into Hunter’s infamous abandoned laptop underscore how the Bidens occasionally wielded pseudonyms, raising concerns about transparency, given the mingling of personal and official correspondence.
