Law enforcement officers from across Texas made way to Kinney County to help secure the border. On Monday, Galveston County Constable Jimmy Fullen said he was happy to travel the 370 mile journey to help “beef up” the security presence at the border.
Fullen recently helped the small area detain over 120 illegal immigrants with a focus on those who have been destroying property. He said deputies were scheduled to work 12-hour shifts and would remain in the area as long as needed.
The Texas Dept. of Public Safety continues to arrest illegal migrants coming across the border and sending them to jail.

Meanwhile, Kinney County mayor expressed he would gratefully accept any help offered to manage the crisis. The area has reportedly seen a 500 percent increase in illegal immigrant apprehensions this year.
According to Customs and Border Protection statistics, at least 10,000 illegal immigrants were detected just last month.
