The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is reporting a number of disturbing encounters with cartels at the U.S.-Mexico border. It released several pictures Wednesday, which purportedly show armed cartel members taunting the state’s National Guard soldiers in the region.
The cartel gunmen are seen wearing tactical vests, holding AK-rifles and appear to be well-equipped for possible confrontations. Officials said several such encounters took place over the past few days. Despite this, Texas authorities said they will continue breaking up human and drug smuggling rings run by cartels.
Gov. Greg Abbott (R) also said Joe Biden is still refusing to visit the border or hold a meeting with GOP governors to address the matter. He went as far as to suggest that Biden is allowing drug traffickers to bring in deadly narcotics and fentanyl.
“It’s time for the Biden administration to wake up and get on the job,” stated the governor. “And do its job to protect the sovereignty and safety of the United States of America.”

Abbott said Biden must reinstate 45th President Donald Trump’s Remain in Mexico and Title 42 policies as well as complete construction of the southern border wall.
