AP, once seen as impartial, collaborates with left-leaning foundations.

Associated Press Collaboration with Leftist‌ Organizations

The Associated Press (AP), a news⁢ organization often accused of ‍having a ⁣leftist bias, has recently come under scrutiny for its collaborations with various ‌leftist organizations. According⁤ to ⁤a new report, the ‌AP has⁤ been‌ working closely with groups such as ⁣the Ida B. Wells Society, founded ‌by Nikole Hannah-Jones, the creator of the ⁣controversial “1619 Project”.

One⁢ notable figure involved in this collaboration is Ron Nixon, the AP’s global investigations editor, who serves on ⁤the board of directors for the⁣ Ida B. Wells Society.

Other‍ organizations that the AP is working with include the‍ Lilly Endowment Inc., Jonathan Logan Family Foundation, William⁢ and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and Charles‌ Stewart Mott ‍Foundation.

The Jonathan Logan Family Foundation and Take Back the ‍Court

The Jonathan Logan‌ Family Foundation, which states its⁣ support for organizations advancing social⁢ justice, provides funding to Stacey Abrams’ New ⁤Georgia Project and Take Back the Court. Take ⁤Back the⁢ Court aims to add seats to the U.S. Supreme Court in order to address issues such as voting rights, ⁣reproductive freedom, workers’ rights, climate change, and democracy.

The ‍William and Flora Hewlett⁢ Foundation and Advocates For Youth

The William and Flora Hewlett⁤ Foundation funds Planned Parenthood and Advocates For Youth.⁢ Advocates For⁤ Youth⁢ has developed a curriculum called ⁤”Rights, Respect, ⁤Responsibility” (3Rs), which introduces‌ concepts such as same-gender parents and the ⁣idea that boys can have female body parts, and‍ vice versa. The kindergarten ⁤curriculum also teaches that some people’s bodies can be different.

The innocuously-named ⁤non-profit developed⁢ an equally harmlessly-titled curriculum entitled “Rights, Respect, Responsibility” (3Rs). Concepts 3Rs teach kindergarteners include “same⁣ gender parents,” the‌ notion that boys ⁢”can have” ‍female body parts, and vice-versa. Lesson 2 of the ⁣kindergarten curriculum states, ⁤”Most people have a vulva or a penis but ‌some people’s bodies can be different.”

The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and Affirmative Action

The Charles Stewart Mott ⁤Foundation expressed its disagreement with the recent Supreme Court decision to overturn affirmative action, ⁢stating that it ‍impedes colleges and universities from addressing systemic⁣ racial inequalities.

These collaborations and‌ funding sources raise questions about the AP’s objectivity⁢ and potential bias in ⁣its⁣ reporting.

Richard W. Hoover, a retired Foreign Service officer, pointed out⁢ the AP’s biased coverage in relation to former President Trump ‍and⁢ President Biden’s family. While Trump’s difficulties were extensively covered, ‌the House Committee on Oversight and⁤ Accountability’s investigations into alleged Biden family bribes were not reported.

In 2020,‍ the ⁤AP urged journalists ‍to‌ use ⁤more neutral terms ⁤when reporting on Black Lives Matter events, discouraging the use of “riots” and ‍suggesting “protests” instead.‌ The term “looting” was ‍also criticized as ”racist”.
