Experts are clueless.
Don’t believe what you read, especially if it involves ‘science’
What happened: The New York Times wrote about a new scientific study on plastic pollution in the ocean and compared its findings with those of a previous study. There was a slight discrepancy:
Why it matters: That first study was widely reported by the sorts of media outlets that want people to panic about climate change. (Practically all of them.) “Humans are putting 8 million metric tons of plastic in the oceans — annually,” the Washington Post warned.
- Both studies are probably wrong. The so-called experts have no idea what they’re talking about, especially when it comes to “science.” The Earth is massive; its climate is complex.
- Do we really think the people who said it was safe to march for liberal causes but not conservative ones are smart enough to figure it out and honest enough to tell the truth?
- More importantly: Who cares? Everything going to be just fine, probably.
Bottom line: Nobody knows anything. Everybody knows nothing.
