FBI claims ‘pipe bombs’ on Jan 6; Congressman suspects coverup
Republican Lawmaker Alleges Involvement of Law Enforcement in January 6 Pipe Bombs
Democrats have been pushing the narrative that the events of January 6, 2021, were a violent “insurrection,” even resorting to false claims. However, they have conveniently ignored the incident that would best support their case – the two pipe bombs found outside the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee.
Now, a Republican lawmaker, Rep. Thomas Massie, who has extensively reviewed video footage and evidence from that day, suggests that the bombs may have been planted with the help of law enforcement. He believes that Democrats are avoiding the issue because they fear the truth will be exposed.
According to Massie, the pipe bombs pose the biggest threat that existed on January 6. He questions why Democrats are not highlighting this threat to advance their narrative, unless they were somehow involved and are now trying to cover it up.
“This is an ongoing coverup at this point. If there were indeed two operable pipe bombs, that would be the biggest threat that existed on January 6… It doesn’t make any sense why they wouldn’t be promoting that threat to advance that narrative unless they had something to do with the pipe bombs and they’re trying to memory-hole the whole thing to avoid embarrassment.” – Rep. Thomas Massie
Massie points to a video identified by him, which shows law enforcement officers reacting nonchalantly to the pipe bomb, even allowing children to walk near it. He also questions how a Secret Service sweep before Vice President Kamala Harris entered the building failed to detect the bomb.
Massie emphasizes that a pipe bomb is designed to cause harm and kill, while the protesters on January 6 did not possess such weapons. He finds it concerning that the pipe bombs are not receiving the attention they deserve.
Curiously, the Democrat-run January 6 committee chaired by Rep. Bennie Thompson did not mention the pipe bombs in its final report, except for a brief mention in an appendix. Furthermore, Vice President Harris, who called January 6 a “deadly assault,” conveniently avoided mentioning that she was the target of an apparent bomb.
Massie also raises questions about the FBI’s handling of the investigation. He highlights the low-quality video footage provided by the DNC and the lack of records for the suspect. Additionally, he disputes the FBI’s claim that the bombs were “viable,” pointing out that a 60-minute kitchen timer cannot trigger an explosion more than 17 hours later.
Massie believes it is crucial to speak with the person who allegedly found the bomb and has concerns about the FBI’s failure to locate a third bomb. He suggests that there may be alternate videos of the suspect that have not been released.
The fact that both bombs went undetected for 17 hours, until they were discovered within minutes of each other, raises further suspicions. Massie questions whether the FBI ever interviewed the person who found the DNC bomb, which The Blaze reported to be an undercover police officer.
Massie concludes that the FBI, ATF, and Secret Service need to provide answers to defend the integrity of their organizations, as the handling of the pipe bomb investigation raises serious concerns.
