‘The View’ hosts imply GOP discord led to Hamas’ attacks on Israel.
The View Co-Host Claims GOP Infighting Weakens U.S. on World Stage, Invites Hamas Attacks on Israel
In a recent episode of “The View,” co-host Sara Haines made a bold statement suggesting that the Republican Party’s internal conflicts over the next speaker of the House were making the United States appear weak on the global stage, thereby inviting terrorist attacks from Hamas on Israel.
Haines expressed her concern about the current state of affairs, stating, “The world is seemingly blowing up right now, and the U.S. looks weak on the world stage.”
Co-host Joy Behar agreed, nodding in agreement along with fellow co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sunny Hostin.
Sara Haines claims GOP infighting over the speaker “invited” Hamas to attack Israel.
“The world is seemingly blowing up right now, and the U.S. Looks weak…this division invites enemies in…”

Haines further elaborated on her point, stating, “Because we can’t even name a speaker of the House. And last week it was kind of amusing, when we talked about it here, you know, you have the McCarthy’s out… Jim Jordan’s your next best option and everything was kind of funny.”
She continued, “And perspective slaps you in the face. And on Saturday after that terrorist attack I kind of looked at it and thought, ‘This division invites enemies in.’ And right now we’re seeing a massive spread of disinformation online as a result of this. And so this morning we were all teasing about maybe watching less news… I would encourage House Republicans to watch more news for perspective.”
The recent ousting of former Speaker Kevin McCarthy and the nomination of House Majority Leader Steve Scalise to replace him has added fuel to the fire of GOP infighting.

Behar even suggested that Putin is closely observing the situation, stating, “But they [the GOP] have to know that Putin is watching this. That’s why he wants [former President Donald] Trump back. Because Trump divides people. That’s why.”

While Haines did not provide specific evidence to support her claim, her statement highlights a concern shared by many Americans regarding the impact of internal political divisions on the country’s international image and security. The ongoing feud within the Republican Party over the selection of the next speaker of the House has been widely reported. This disagreement, combined with other internal conflicts, has led to a perception of a divided and weakened United States.
It is important to note that political divisions and disagreements are not unique to the United States. Most democracies experience differences of opinion and debate over policy matters. However, the public nature of the Republican Party’s infighting has raised concerns about the potential consequences for the country’s standing on the world stage.
One key concern is that perceived weakness and division within the United States can embolden adversaries such as Hamas, a Palestinian militant group designated as a terrorist organization by the United States and other countries. Adversaries may interpret internal conflicts as a sign of vulnerability and exploit the situation to further their own agendas.
This is not the first time that the United States has faced criticism for its handling of international relations during periods of internal division. For example, during the Vietnam War, divisions over U.S. involvement not only caused domestic strife but also addressed the perception of weakness internationally. Similarly, during the impeachment proceedings against former President Donald Trump, critics argued that the internal divisions portrayed a fractured and unstable democracy.
The impact of internal conflicts on the international stage should not be underestimated. It is crucial for political leaders, both within the Republican Party and across party lines, to prioritize unity and present a united front when dealing with foreign policy issues. Failure to do so may invite aggression and exploits from adversaries seeking to take advantage of perceived weaknesses.
It is important to emphasize that this article does not take a position on the specific differences within the Republican Party or the selection of the next speaker of the House. Instead, it highlights a growing concern among Americans regarding the potential consequences of internal infighting on the country’s international standing and security.
The United States holds a unique position in the world – it is seen as a global leader and is expected to navigate international conflicts with strength and unity. Internal divisions can erode this perception and undermine the country’s ability to effectively address global challenges.
In conclusion, Sara Haines’ statement on ”The View” raises important questions about the impact of internal conflicts within the Republican Party on the United States’ standing on the world stage. While the link between these disputes and potential terrorist attacks may be speculative, the concern over the country’s appearance of weakness is valid. It is essential for political leaders to prioritize unity and present a strong, united front when dealing with international affairs in order to maintain the country’s standing and security.
