The bongino report

They’re Coming For Your Favorite Podcasts

You thought they’d stop? Joe Rogan?

An aging rocker was last year Neil Young led an anti-Neil Young crusade “The Joe Rogan Experience.” Young hoped to silence the host’s alternative views on COVID-19.

The effort quickly went viral, with Rogan’s detractors piling on with any cultural cudgel within reach.

Rogan’s pandemic-related interviews were merely an excuse to silence someone who opened his podcast studio up to voices on the Left, Middle and Right.

Rogan survived the Cancel Culture extended assault. Barely.

The Brookings Institution has teamed up with The New York Times to intensify this censorial effort. What are their targets? Conservative broadcasters are a favorite Clay Travis, Buck Sexton

Brookings Institution, a liberal institution, released a new report claiming that the largest purveyors so-called “scam” were: “misinformation” in podcast form. Lucky for us, most offenders were from the right side.

The article based upon the report Focused on “Steve Bannon’s War Room,” The former leader of Breitbart News and ex-Trump advisor hosted the event. This article is a credit to the fact that it includes many examples of guests sharing false morsels via The “War Room” pulpit. Brookings claims that Bannon did not question these views.

However, the report attacks other conservative mainstream shows for spreading the message. “misinformation” Alarmingly fast. This includes “The Charlie Kirk Show,” “The Clay & Buck Show” Along with its predecessor “The Rush Limbaugh Show,” “Louder with Crowder,” “The Mark Levin Show” and Bret Weinstein’s “DarkHorse Podcast.”

This is a telling fact from The New York Times.

Liberal podcasters were eleven times more likely than conservative podcasters to make a claim that fact-checkers could not refute.

That’s an immediate red flag, of course. It’s also a tell, the first of many.

“The Clay & Buck Show” Brookings and The New York Times were contacted to arrange for a guest from each group to appear on-air. The purported interview would let the show’s critics share details on how the hosts spread “misinformation.” Clay Travis and Buck Sexton could then counter the allegations.

That’s called a free and fair debate, and “The Clay & Buck Show” deserves to have the opportunity to learn more and possibly refute its findings.

Both parties declined. That’s no accident.

It’s part of the new, dangerous wave of censorship flooding the culture. Big Tech routinely punishes and bans sharing of the content. “wrong” opinions yet doesn’t have the courage, or ability, to explain why.

Mike Baron is the author of “The Private American” Graphic novel Two crowdfunding websites have banned the use of this method Without any particular reason. Comedy comedians who are able to find humor in their situations. Jokes muffled without explanation

This isn’t new, but it is terrifying.

One biased podcast study is enough to make the news. It was spread worldwide by America’s most influential paper. That’s not where this ends.

The New York Times reached out to Apple and Google, two of the world’s most formidable tech giants, for reaction to the story. The secret purpose? To shame them into burying or banning the podcasts in question via their Search algorithms.

Does it sound like a conspiracy?

Keep this in mind In 2021, Amazon, Google, and Apple joined forces to ban Parler. An emerging Twitter alternative emerged following the Jan. 6 riots at the Capitol Building. Both parties claimed that the platform enabled violent Trump supporters to coordinate their attack on the D.C. Building.

What did it matter that Antifa, a violent group, was allowed to spread hate on Twitter?

No. Parler is attracted to a right-leaning customer, similar to the podcasts. Big Tech wanted it to be crushed rather than allow their arguments infect culture.

Similar plans are underway here. It’s not natural that the Times would ask tech titans for comments. It’s a gentle but overt brand of bullying.

Why aren’t you banning this misinformation?

Even more illuminating? Why won’t Brookings or The Times defend their hard work on a syndicated radio program, letting the show’s fans could learn more about the so-called “misinformation?” Why pass up that golden opportunity if you’re confident in your facts?

The push for ban “misinformation” Both transparent and disingenuous. First, no one has singled out Fake News fighting bodies. “The View.”

It’s one of the most cartoonishly fraudulent shows In the media landscape, sharing on a major television network. Here’s just one of many examples.

The show’s tapestry of errors spans from silly culture war skirmishes to serious subjects like the pandemic. Yet The New York Times isn’t calling out the aggressively liberal show for spreading “misinformation.”

That’s another tell.

The newspaper has not even reflected on the distorted coverage of the Russian collusion hoax. Instead, the august outlet False reporting was doubled.

This isn’t about “misinformation.” It’s about protecting the preferred liberal narratives and punishing parties who counter them with facts and logic.

Pop culture: “Private American” This article sheds light on the drug cartels, rapists, and border crossings between the U.S. and Mexico. It must be stopped.

“The Clay & Buck Show” questioned the government’s decrees regarding the pandemic early on, from the efficacy of vaccines to questionable mask mandates.

They were correct on many levels. They must also be silenced.

This is the Left trying to quiet the Right … or anyone willing to question the official narratives. This includes left-leaning figures such as RoganMatt Taibbi, journalist, comedian Russell Brand More.

Rogan emerged triumphant, in part, because Spotify CEO Daniel Ek wouldn’t bow to the Cancel Culture mob. The podcaster was lucky. Not every CEO has the spine, and stomach, to fight the Left’s censorious mob.

Sooner or later, the Left’s quest to silence dissenting voices will bear fruit.
