Third Teen Arrested In Connection To Florida Triple Homicide
In connection with the triple crime that occurred in Ocklawaha, Florida, more than a week later, the next teen has been detained.
The 16-year-old was detained on Saturday by U.S. marshals on” outstanding warrants” for” aggravated assault, grand theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, and tampering with an electronic monitoring device ,” according to the Marion County Sheriff’s’s Office.
Tahj Brewton was the second adolescent suspected of being involved in Layla Silvernail’s’s murders at the age of 16, another 16-year-old lady, and an unnamed girl who was 17 years old.
For information that led to the arrest of the third suspect, who had been on the run, the sheriff’s’s office had offered a reward of up to$ 10,000,000. Law enforcement also stated that more information may be timely and that an investigation into the three murders is ongoing.
The other two suspects, a 17-year-old boy and an 18 – year – old boy, were both detained last Thursday night and charged with first-degree murder.
Billy Woods, the judge of Marion County, made the announcement on Friday, according to WFTV, and his work collaborated with other law enforcement organizations to track down the youth who were allegedly responsible for the weekend deaths of three other teens.
According to WFTV, Woods stated on Friday that the murders don’t appear to be a group issue but rather that both the defendants and the victims were connected to them.
According to Woods,” every single one of them was connected to a bunch in some way or another.”

According to the sheriff, the suspects obtained the weapons used in the shootings because they were originally known to have carried out burglaries and robberies nearby.
Sheriff’s’s deputies discovered 16-year-old Layla Silvernail lying in a dumpster at around 11 p.m. one week earlier. She was taken to the hospital immediately, where she was in critical condition for several days before it was determined that she had passed away after being removed from life support, according to WCJB.
A 17-year-old boy’s’s body was discovered on the side of the road the day after Silvernail was found, at around 8 a.m. Nearly five hours later, the body of a third victim — a 16-year-old girl — was discovered in what was later determined to be Silvernail’s’s car. According to The New York Post, the car was half submerged in a lake close to Malauka Loop.
Although few details about the murders had been made public at the time, the Sheriff’s’s Office had previously ruled out the possibility that a serial killer was still at large. Woods attributed the killings to a” young gang” on Wednesday without disclosing any possible motives.
At the time, Woods stated that” the detectives also have information that [ the triple homicide ] may be connected to what we classify as” hybrid gangs.” ” Amateur criminals” is what they really are.
Let’s’s face it, Woods said on Tuesday that anyone who associates with a gang has done something wrong at some point in their life, whether or not they have been arrested. ” It’s’s a gang because they do illegal things, not because it has unicorns and everything else.”
