Three Crypto Billionaires Die Under Mysterious Circumstances Over the Past Month

In a strange coincidence, three prominent cryptocurrency billionaires have died under mysterious circumstances over the past month.

The unfortunate end of these prominent men who made their fortunes in the crypto industry in quick succession has raised many eyebrows.

One of the three had posted a tweet in which he stated that he would be murdered and tortured by intelligence services a few hours before his actual, untimely death in Puerto Rico.

The Mysterious Drowning of a Cryptocurrency Genius

Nikolai Mushegian, the 29-year-old co-founder of MakerDAO (a blockchain-based decentralized finance platform) and stablecoin pioneer, was living in San Juan, Puerto Rico, when he posted a tweet alleging that the CIA and the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad would eventually kill him for sounding the alarm on a pedophilia–blackmail operation that the agencies were allegedly running out of the Caribbean.

In a tweet posted at 4:57 a.m. on Oct. 28, Mushegian stated: “CIA and Mossad and pedo elite are running some kind of sex trafficking entrapment blackmail ring out of Puerto Rico and Caribbean islands. They are going to frame me with a laptop planted by my ex [girlfriend] who was a spy. They will torture me to death.”

A few hours later, after he reportedly left his $6 million home in San Juan, Mishegian was was found dead shortly after 9:00 a.m., in what authorities say was an apparent drowning.

His corpse was found floating off a beach by surfer, the New York Post reported.

“Nikolai was one of the only people in the early days of Ethereum and smart contracts who was able to predict the possibility of smart contract hacks and invented the security-oriented approach to smart contract design we know today,” said MakerDAO co-founder Rune Christensen, in a tweet.

“Maker would have been toast without him.”

His mysterious death has sparked chatter all over the internet, as the billionaire’s wallet was still on him when his body was discovered, according to the New York Post.

“So Nikolai is still F–KING DEAD,” Ameen Soleimani, the CEO of Spankchain, posted in a tweet.

“My money is on him being murdered. He was found drowned four hours after his riskiest tweet ever. He had all year to drown randomly or be mugged, so it seems unlikely that his death was unrelated to his tweet…”

Another Crypto Pioneer Dies, but in His Sleep

Tiantian (“TT”) Kullander, the 30-year-old co-founder of Hong Kong-based digital asset company Amber Group, was found dead on Nov. 23, and who was reported to have died in his sleep.

Kullander launched Amber Group in 2017 with a group of former employees of Goldman Sachs Group and Morgan Stanley, and achieved a valuation of $3 billion this year, Breitbart reported.

He was also seeking another $100 million in funding shortly before his death.

“TT was a respected thought leader and widely recognized as a pioneer for the industry. His depth of knowledge, his willingness to collaborate, and his desire to always help others benefited countless start-ups and individuals,” Amber Group said in a statement.

“His insights and creativity inspired many projects, people and communities.”

“Besides co-founding Amber and building it into a multi-billion fintech unicorn, TT also sat on the Board of Fnatic (one of the world’s most successful e-sports organizations) and founded KeeperDAO (the first on-chain liquidity underwriter) before giving it back to its community.”

“We lost a great partner and a true friend in TT and words cannot express our sorrow at this time,” the statement continued.

A Third Crypto Billionaire Dies in a Helicopter Crash

On Nov. 29, Vyacheslav Taran, the 53-year-old founder of the Forex Club and president of the Libertex Group, died in a helicopter crash near the French-Italian border in Villefranche-sur-Mer, near Monaco.

Libertex Group is as a foreign exchange and crypto trading platform.

The Russian billionaire was traveling from Lucerne, Switzerland, to his home in Monaco, in a single-engine Airbus EC130 helicopter flown by an experienced French pilot, when it crashed at around 2 p.m., Monaco Life reported.

Metro UK reported that, strangely, “another passenger allegedly cancelled last minute.”

“It is with great sadness that Libertex Group confirms the death of its co-founder and Chairman of Board of Directors, Vyacheslav Taran, after a helicopter crash,” his firm stated. “A well-known and highly respected businessman, described as kind-hearted, polite, and humble by everyone who was fortunate enough to know him, Taran was a true visionary.”

‘Taran was also devoted to giving back to the community and always rushed to help those in need, particularly children. Vyacheslav Taran will be missed more than words can express,” Libertex continued.

He now joins a series of Russian billionaires who have died under mysterious circumstances this year.

Forex Club’s license in Russia was revoked in 2018 for allegedly ripping off investors, reported the New York Post, which quoted Life, a Russian news outlet.

Taran “has many dissatisfied clients and enemies in Russia, who could well get him abroad,” Life reported.

None of the deaths appear to be linked, but the untimely end of three crypto currency moguls has been enough spark many online murder conspiracy theories.

Authorities, however, have not raised suspicion of foul play in any of these cases.
