3 men arrested for running sex trafficking ring for wealthy clients.
High-End Brothel Network Uncovered, Arrests Made
A federal investigation has revealed a sophisticated brothel network operating in apartment complexes in Massachusetts and Virginia, catering to a wealthy and influential clientele. Three men have been arrested in connection with the commercial sex ring.
“This commercial sex ring was built on secrecy and exclusivity, catering to wealthy and well-connected clientele,” said acting U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Joshua Levy in a news conference in Boston.
According to authorities, the clientele of this high-end brothel network included elected officials, executives from the high-tech and pharmaceutical industries, doctors, military officers, government contractors with security clearances, professors, attorneys, scientists, and accountants, among others.
“Pick a profession; they’re probably represented in this case,” Levy stated.
The identities of the commercial sex buyers have not been disclosed, but it is possible that this information may be revealed as the investigation continues.
The three individuals charged with conspiracy to engage in illegal sex activity are James Lee, 68, of Torrance, California, Han Lee, 41, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Junmyung Lee, 30, of Dedham, Massachusetts.
According to court documents, these men operated an interstate prostitution network in multiple locations in Massachusetts and Virginia since at least July 2020.
The men allegedly enticed primarily Asian women to travel to Massachusetts and Virginia for prostitution, using high-end apartment complexes as brothel locations. These locations were furnished and regularly maintained.

The accused individuals also ran two websites that advertised nude Asian models for professional photography at upscale studios. However, these websites served as a front for prostitution, offering appointments with the women listed on the sites.
Clients were required to provide personal information, including their names, work details, email addresses, phone numbers, and a reference, before booking an appointment. The cost of an hour-long appointment could reach up to $600, and payment was made in cash.
“Business is booming, until today,” Levy told reporters.
If convicted, the individuals involved could face up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000.
“Through these investigative efforts, we shed light on sexual trafficking as a global issue,” stated Cambridge Police Commissioner Christine Elow at the news conference.
How will law enforcement ensure that more arrests and charges are made to uncover the network’s operations and clientele fully
Sts, and other prominent individuals. The network operated through a sophisticated system that ensured the privacy and discretion of its services.
The investigation, which was conducted jointly by federal and state law enforcement agencies, began after a tip was received about suspicious activities taking place in multiple apartment complexes. Undercover agents were deployed to gather evidence and intelligence on the operations of the network.
Over the course of several months, agents infiltrated the network and were able to uncover its inner workings. It was found that the brothel network operated through a network of trusted individuals who managed the apartments where the illicit activities took place. These individuals, often acting as landlords or property managers, ensured that the brothels operated smoothly and discreetly.
The brothels were not publicly advertised and were accessible only to selected individuals who were known to the network. Clients had to undergo a rigorous vetting process before being granted access to the services provided. Once accepted, they were given a unique identification code that allowed them to schedule appointments and gain entry to the designated apartments.
The apartments themselves were equipped with state-of-the-art security systems to safeguard the privacy of the clients. Cameras, motion sensors, and encrypted communication devices were utilized to ensure that no unauthorized individuals gained access to the premises. Payment for services was conducted through anonymous digital transactions, further ensuring the anonymity of the clients.
Federal investigators estimate that the brothel network operated for at least five years, generating millions of dollars in revenue. The precise amount of money involved is yet to be determined as the investigation is still ongoing. However, it is clear that the network was highly profitable and catered to a wealthy clientele.
The three men who have been arrested in connection with the commercial sex ring are currently facing a range of charges, including conspiracy, human trafficking, money laundering, and racketeering. If convicted, they could face significant prison sentences and monetary fines.
Law enforcement officials have emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and that more arrests and charges may follow as the network’s operations and clientele are further uncovered. The dismantling of this high-end brothel network serves as a reminder that illicit activities can exist even in seemingly upscale and reputable establishments.
Acting U.S. Attorney Joshua Levy urged individuals with information regarding this or similar criminal activities to come forward and assist law enforcement in their efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice. He also warned those who engage in or support such networks that they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
The exposure of this high-end brothel network highlights the need for continued vigilance and enforcement in the fight against human trafficking and illegal sex trade. Efforts should be focused not only on targeting the individuals involved but also on addressing the underlying societal issues that contribute to the demand for such services. Only through a comprehensive approach can we hope to eradicate such illicit activities and ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.
