Tim Graham: CNN’s an Unreliable Source on Conservatives Being Censored
CNN promoted Donald Trump’s conspiracy theory during the Trump years. “collusion” With the Russian government in order to be elected in 2016. They were so disappointed when Robert Mueller’s probe ended in a negative verdict. “The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”
CNN media reporter Oliver Darcy reached the top of shamelessness with his so-called “CNN Media Reporter” “Reliable Sources” Newsletter on February 8th under the heading “The Collusion Delusion.” Are you still believing? House Republicans investigate the Biden campaign’s role and the implications for the “intelligence community” Twitter suspends the New York Post because of a Hunter Biden story.
This is not an example of a “news” letter.
“Republicans are living in a reality distortion field,” Darcy started. He began to blustered there. “no real evidence” This supports the claim that Twitter did not want to be controlled by government bureaucrats in suppressing the Hunter laptop story. They also branded it as toxic misinformation. All the reports that Twitter executives met weekly with the FBI (which held the laptop) and engaged in discussions about the matter are irrelevant. “tabletop exercise” About “hack-and-leak” Operations with the Department of Homeland Security. This is thick smoke, if it’s not fire.
Darcy continued: “Republicans were unrelenting in peddling it to the American public. At Wednesday’s hearing they showed no regard for misinforming those who turn to them for accurate information, or the fact that they were smearing a private business and its former executives in the process.”
It isn’t “smearing” It is time to have former Twitter chieftains testify. Liberals hate it when liberals ask hardball questions of other liberals.
Darcy accused Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., of accusing him of being the new chairman for the House Oversight Committee. “tossing asinine red meat to the Republican base.” He said the word “censor” Twitter’s dramatic 17-day suspension on Twitter of the New York Post Twitter handle and of Twitter accounts that tweeted a link to the expose were described in scare quotations
The most absurd passage in this purple prose is about election denial. “Republicans are not so subtly feeding their election-denying base reason to believe that the 2020 election was effectively rigged against Donald Trump.”
Earth to Darcy – What was your network obsessed with during the Trump years? This is something we could easily counter. “CNN was not so subtly feeding its election-denying base reason to believe that the 2016 election was effectively rigged against Hillary Clinton.”
Darcy believes Fox News should not be deplatformed. He then rants that Fox News has been rebroadcast “the nonsense coming out of the hearing as if it were a serious affair uncovering considerable wrongdoing. The facts — reality — simply do not matter.”
Darcy is the one pushing the transparently false narrative that Big Tech is not real “intentionally and unjustly censoring conservative views,” When the evidence is everywhere. MRC Free Speech America’s CensorTrack.org database has now reached 5,000 verified instances of conservatives being censored or suspended.
This passionately opinionated “Reliable Sources” This report is yet another proof that Chris Licht, CNN CEO, has done nothing to make CNN a place for respectful dialogue and analysis. Darcy claims Republicans are “asinine” People who don’t care at all about facts are red meat-eaters. CNN is not trying to gain the trust and support of Republicans and their leaders. They are still trying to discredit Republicans and their leaders, throwing their own red meat at the Democrat audience.
