To Angry TikTok Feminists: Give Lip Gloss a Try

Christian Influencer Sparks Controversy with Aesthetic Preferences

Christian influencer Vanessa Irene is facing backlash from a group of angry TikTok feminists after sharing a video about what men find attractive in women. In the video, which has gone viral with over 1.6 million views, Irene discusses qualities such as white teeth, shiny hair, and polished toenails that men supposedly appreciate. She also suggests that women should prioritize physical fitness and pay attention to their appearance, even on “relaxing days” at home.

While not all of Irene’s tips may apply to every man, her overall message about emphasizing femininity to attract a partner is valid. However, this message has angered TikTok feminists for two reasons. Firstly, they dislike the idea of promoting outward expressions of femininity. Secondly, they disagree with the notion that women should strive to be appealing to men.

A critic named Anne Russell responded to Irene’s video with a harsh critique, accusing her of spouting nonsense and lacking life skills. Russell claimed that Irene has been brainwashed into believing that her worth is determined by her appeal to men.

Another TikToker, Meghan Dowling, accused Irene of internalized misogyny for suggesting that women should look put together even on relaxing days. Dowling argued that this advice caters to the male gaze in a heteronormative way.

Marriage And Family Oppose ‘Liberation’

Ironically, it is the feminists who have been influenced by a twisted ideology. From a young age, my mother taught me the importance of finding a spouse during the young adult years. This advice applies to both men and women, as it aligns with human nature and biology. All living creatures have an innate desire to reproduce, and humans are no exception.

For humans, the desire to attract a partner goes beyond biology. It is about building a life together and creating a family. In Christian belief, family is seen as the foundation of society and a divine institution. It fulfills both the biological need for reproduction and the spiritual purpose of instilling moral values in future generations.

However, feminists view the desire for marriage and family as contradictory to their movement. Since the sexual revolution, feminists have argued that embracing femininity and traditional gender roles is regressive. They have attempted to redefine beauty standards and reject the concept of objective beauty.

Rejecting Objective Beauty

Irene’s emphasis on feminine beauty in her video has further enraged feminists who reject beauty altogether. Studies have shown that men are naturally attracted to feminine features and voices. Emphasizing femininity is a valid approach to fueling attraction. However, feminists argue that women should be liberated from beauty standards and the male gaze.

Yet, this rejection of natural feminine beauty has not led to greater happiness for women. In fact, studies indicate that conservative women tend to be happier than liberal women. The rejection of biological and spiritual nature has left many feminists feeling miserable.

Feminists Are Female Incels

Feminism has taught women to suppress their femininity and view desires for marriage and children as regressive. However, these feminists do not appear liberated; they appear angry. Some response videos to Irene’s message reveal a deep-seated resentment towards men.

These feminists have become no different than incels, harboring irrational hatred towards the opposite sex. By rejecting meaningful relationships, they only isolate themselves and hinder their own happiness.

It’s time for these TikTok feminists to step down from their soapboxes and consider Irene’s advice. A little lip gloss might just make them feel better.
