Tom Holland fears Hollywood.

Tom Holland reveals that Hollywood “really scares” him after recently announcing his decision to take a break from acting.

During his appearance on Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast, the 27-year-old actor, known for his role in “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” expressed his awareness of celebrities who have lost themselves in the entertainment industry. To avoid a similar fate, Holland is distancing himself from Hollywood.

“Look, I really am a massive fan of making movies but I really do not like Hollywood, it is not for me,” Holland told the host.

“The business really scares me,” he added. “I understand that I’m a part of that business, and I enjoy my kind of interactions with it. But that said, I am always looking for ways to kind of remove myself from it, to kind of just live as normal a life as possible.”

The Marvel star considers his appearance on the podcast a rare occurrence. He emphasized the importance of not losing oneself and shared his observations of people who have lost themselves in the industry.

“I just am really, really keen to focus on what makes me happy, which is my family, it’s my friends,” he added. “It’s my carpentry, my golf, the charity that my mom runs.”

“Like, that is the stuff that makes me really happy, and that’s the stuff that I should protect,” Holland continued. “My relationship is the thing I keep most sacred. I don’t talk about it. I try my best to keep it as private as possible. We both feel very strongly that that is the healthiest way for us to move on as a couple.”

The comments were most likely in reference to his Marvel co-star, 26-year-old Zendaya, the actress he’s long been connected to. The couple are rumored to be dating for years, but exactly how long is unclear.
