Top Democrat admits Hunter Biden engaged in numerous unlawful and unethical actions.
A Top House Democrat Concedes Hunter Biden’s Wrongdoings
In a recent development, a top House Democrat has acknowledged that President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, has engaged in numerous unlawful activities. This admission comes after the Department of Justice (DOJ) appointed a U.S. attorney to lead a special counsel investigation into the matter.
“David Weiss, the U.S. attorney for Delaware, who had been nominated by Donald Trump, can make the decisions about what to charge, where to charge, and when to charge,” revealed Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) in an interview with ABC’s “This Week.” He further added, “And with the collapse of the plea agreement that he had apparently worked out with Hunter Biden, now he wants to be certain that he’s got the authority to go bring charges wherever he wants.”
Rep. Raskin did not shy away from highlighting Hunter Biden’s wrongdoings, stating that he had been involved in numerous unlawful activities and had even battled drug addiction at one point.

The U.S. attorney for Delaware, Mr. Weiss, has been appointed as the special counsel for the investigation. Meanwhile, Hunter Biden has pleaded not guilty to tax charges.
Rep. Raskin emphasized the importance of allowing the justice system to run its course, even if the process may seem bumpy and unfavorable to some. He acknowledged that the collapse of the plea agreement led to the appointment of Mr. Weiss as special counsel.
However, Rep. Raskin expressed his disapproval of political pressure being exerted on the investigation, stating that it is not the role of politicians to interfere or micromanage such matters.
While some top Republicans have raised concerns about Mr. Weiss’s appointment as special counsel, alleging potential conflicts of interest, Rep. Raskin defended the decision, highlighting the collapse of the plea agreement as a significant factor.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, both Republicans, have voiced their skepticism and accused the Biden administration of attempting to obstruct congressional investigations and cover up the Biden family’s alleged corruption.
