Carlson tries to paint Jan. 6th riot as an’mostly peaceful gathering’
Carlson tried to show never-before seen clips from Jan. 6, to prove that it was an incident. “mostly peaceful” gathering of protesters — even going so far as to accuse other news outlets of falsely characterizing the attack as an “insurrection.”
“The footage does not show an insurrection or a riot in progress,” Carlson stated. “Instead, it shows police escorting people through the building, including the now-infamous ‘QAnon Shaman.'”
Carlson showed Jacob Chansley footage, which has been dubbed the “The” video. “QAnon Shaman,” Walking around the Capitol with no resistance from security officers. Chansley, along with two security officers, is shown walking up to the Senate chamber. Later, Chansley takes a picture inside.
While walking around, video footage does not appear to show any of the officers intervening — prompting Carlson to accuse Capitol Police of being complicit “as his tour guides.” As there are no audio tapes, it is not possible to see if Chansley was conversing with the officers.
According to court records, Capitol Police officers previously stated that Chansley was repeatedly asked to leave. Other officers testified that they were reluctant to interact with the rioters entering Capitol Police headquarters, citing fear of increasing violence. Many rioters managed to get into the Capitol without any difficulty.
Security experts however, who examined the clips, said that they could be read in either direction. It raises the question of whether police officers were deescalating orders or permitting rioters to enter.
“These are interesting questions that I don’t have the answers to,” Bill Stanton (retired NYPD Officer and safety-and security expert) said the following: “But if anyone wanted to really dig — I’m talking about a government investigation — they can have those answers. The fact that no one’s supplying those answers makes me tilt my head.”
Stanton stated that one way to find out for certain is to review internal memos and communication between USCP officers prior, during and after the riot in order to determine the chain of command.
“The devil is in the details,” He stated.
Carlson claims Democrats lie about the severity of attacks

Sicknick was found dead from natural causes on the day of Capitol riot. However, an autopsy report concluded that Sicknick had died naturally. “all that transpired (on January 6) played a role in his condition.”
Carlson attempted to downplay the death and accuse Democrats of using Sicknick for political gain. “prop” And “martyr.”
Carlson claimed that Sicknick looked like he was looking through clips of Sicknick during the Capitol Riot. “healthy and vigorous.” Carlson stated that he was satisfied with the results. “hard to imagine” Sicknick was killed by the riot.
Sicknick’s Family responded to Carlson’s remarks, denouncing Fox News for being the “propaganda arm of the Republican Party.”
“Tucker Carlson claims that Fox has been looking over the video feeds from the Capitol, with full access supplied by our disgusting excuse for a House Speaker for the truth,” In a note, his family wrote scathing statement. “Carlson’s ‘truth’ is to pick and choose footage that supports his delusional views that the Jan. 6th insurrection was peaceful. … Every
