U.S. Navy Spotted Titan Sub Collapse in Advance

The U.S. Navy Detects Implosion of Titan Submersible

The U.S. Navy made a chilling discovery this week as it detected the moment when the Titan submersible imploded. The submersible had lost communications with its host ship, plunging into darkness.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the Navy swiftly initiated efforts to locate the Titan once it went off the radar. Soon after, they detected an implosion in the vicinity where debris from the submersible was later found on the ocean floor, approximately 1,600 feet away from the bow of the Titanic.

“The U.S. Navy conducted an analysis of acoustic data and detected an anomaly consistent with an implosion or explosion in the general vicinity of where the Titan submersible was operating when communications were lost,” revealed a senior U.S. Navy official in a statement to The Wall Street Journal. “While not definitive, this information was immediately shared with the Incident Commander to assist with the ongoing search and rescue mission.”

Tragic Loss of Life

Tragically, OceanGate, the company operating the Titan, announced on Thursday afternoon that all five people on board the vessel had perished.

“We now believe that our CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet, have sadly been lost,” the company’s statement said.

Rear Admiral John Mauger confirmed that the debris found was “consistent with the catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber.” However, recovering the bodies from the submersible poses a significant challenge due to the intense pressures at the bottom of the ocean.

Mauger explained that the submersible likely imploded around the same time it lost contact with the ship, as no catastrophic implosions have been detected in the water over the past 72+ hours using sonar buoys deployed to locate the vessel.

Renowned marine scientist and rescue expert, David Mearns, emphasized that the extreme pressure at that depth would have resulted in instant death for those on board.

“The only saving grace is that it would have been immediate — literally in milliseconds — and the men wouldn’t have known what was happening,” he said.
