Transgender activist and TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney has been honored as the “Woman of the Year” by the esteemed British publication Attitude Magazine.
Mulvaney, who recently began transitioning from male to female in December 2022, graciously accepted the award at the Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, a prestigious ceremony celebrating the LGBTQ+ community across the U.K. and Europe.
In a heartfelt acceptance speech, the 26-year-old shared that it has been over 560 days since they embarked on their journey to womanhood.
Mulvaney also bravely acknowledged the ongoing scrutiny they face while in the public eye.
“No matter how hard I try, or what I wear, or what I say, or what surgeries I get, I will never reach an acceptable version of womanhood by those hateful people’s standards,” expressed the TikToker, referring to those who do not support the transgender community.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Mulvaney expressed gratitude for the recognition from LGBTQ+ allies, emphasizing the significance of being “acknowledged” as a woman.
Mulvaney’s well-deserved recognition as “Woman of the Year” comes after their previous achievement of being named the Breakout Creator of 2023 at the Streamy Awards in August.
The Streamy Awards celebrate the accomplishments of online content creators.
Mulvaney initially gained fame on TikTok with their popular “Days of Girlhood” series, amassing an impressive following of 10.5 million.
However, earlier this year, Mulvaney faced controversy and a subsequent boycott when they partnered with Bud Light, causing a media uproar.
Reports even suggested that Governor Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) considered suing Bud Light for their association with the transgender influencer, accusing the brand of being “woke.”
The Bud Light controversy resulted in parent company “Ab InBev” experiencing a loss of approximately $395 million in U.S. sales.

How has Bud Light’s association with Mulvaney impacted their brand perception and public image within the PAA community?
It is unclear what specific association Bud Light has had with Mulvaney. If there is no direct association between them, then Bud Light’s brand perception and public image within the PAA community would not be impacted by Mulvaney. However, if there is a direct association, the impact would depend on the perception of Mulvaney within the PAA community. If Mulvaney’s actions, beliefs, or values are controversial or unpopular within the community, Bud Light’s association with him could potentially have a negative impact on their brand perception and public image. Conversely, if Mulvaney is well-regarded within the PAA community, it could have a positive impact on Bud Light’s brand perception and public image. Overall, the extent of the impact would depend on the strength of the association and the viewpoints of the PAA community.
