Trump and 18 others to be booked at Fulton County Jail: Sheriff.
Former President Trump and Co-Defendants to Surrender and Be Booked at Fulton County Jail
Exciting news! Former President Donald Trump and his 18 co-defendants named in the Georgia election indictment on Aug. 14 will be voluntarily surrendering later this month and will be booked at the Fulton County jail. According to the sheriff’s office, all 19 defendants will be booked at the Rice Street Jail, based on guidance from the District Attorney’s office and the presiding judge.
The Fulton County jail, located on Rice Street northwest of downtown Atlanta, has housed over 3,000 inmates in recent years.

“Keep in mind, defendants can turn themselves in at any time. The jail is open 24/7,” stated the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office. However, due to the unprecedented nature of this case, some circumstances may change with little or no warning, according to the spokeswoman.
No Special Treatment
Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat made it clear that President Trump and his co-defendants will not receive special treatment once they surrender. “Unless someone tells me differently, we will be following normal practices. It doesn’t matter your status, we will have mugshots ready for you,” said Mr. Labat.
The sheriff also mentioned that officials in Fulton County were taking notes from the indictments and arraignments against President Trump in New York, Miami, and Washington, D.C., and would apply similar arrangements for him there.
President Trump faces 13 counts in Monday’s indictment, including a violation of Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO Act), solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer, conspiracy to commit forgery in the first degree, and conspiracy to commit filing of false documents, among others. This is the fourth indictment brought against him this year.
President Trump’s co-defendants in the Georgia election indictment include his former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s personal lawyers John Eastman and Sidney Powell, and his former attorney Jenna Ellis, along with over a dozen more. They have all been charged with at least one count of violating Georgia’s RICO Act.
According to the indictment, President Trump and the defendants “refused to accept that Trump lost” the 2020 presidential election and knowingly joined a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome in his favor. They are required to voluntarily surrender to Fulton County officials by Aug. 25 at noon.
