Republicans are reporting record fundraising hauls in the wake of former President Donald Trump‘s New York trial verdict.

Trump was found guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, but his accountants will be working overtime keeping up with all the donations that have come in since then.

The Trump campaign sent out a statement saying it “shattered” fundraising records by bringing in $34.8 million — almost twice as much as any single day in the past.

“From just minutes after the sham trial verdict was announced, our digital fundraising system was overwhelmed with support, and despite temporary delays online because of the amount of traffic, President Trump raised $34.8 million dollars from small dollar donors,” a statement from campaign advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles read. “Not only was the amount historic, but 29.7% of yesterday’s donor’s were brand new donors to the WinRed platform.”

Former New York gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin said he got an $800,000 donation with little effort.

Just secured a $800k donation from someone for President Trump’s Joint Fundraising Committee. Never experienced a massive ask that easy.

Meanwhile, the National Republican Congressional Committee and the National Republican Study Committee both said they had their biggest fundraising hauls of this election cycle following the verdict. NRSC alone raised 0,000.

The huge hauls come despite Trump’s donation website crashing within minutes of the verdict being announced.

Trump relies on the fundraising money as his legal troubles continue with three other ongoing criminal cases and mounting attorney fees. He’s scheduled to be sentenced in New York City on July 11, just four days before the Republican National Convention begins in Milwaukee.
