Trump and Tucker Carlson to release online interview during GOP debates.

Former President Donald Trump’s interview ⁢with notable ‍conservative commentator Tucker Carlson will⁣ be posted on Wednesday night on⁣ X, formerly known ⁢as Twitter.

Carlson’s‌ Trump ⁣interview comes out at the same ‌time as ‍the Republican presidential primary⁢ debate will be⁤ aired on Tucker’s​ former news network.

The former president said on Truth Social‍ that his interview with Carlson, which was filmed a few days prior, will run tonight at ​9 p.m. The GOP ⁣primary debate, which⁢ will feature eight of Trump’s Republican opponents, will run‌ from‌ 9 to⁤ 11 p.m.

It‌ was suspected by ‌many ⁣online users that Carlson and Trump chose the scheduled times to steal ‍viewers away from Tucker’s former network.

“Sparks will fly,” Trump wrote, teasing the interview.

Trump chose not to⁣ participate in the GOP debate, asserting ‌his substantial ‌lead over ⁢the⁢ other primary contenders in national⁢ and state surveys. ‍

For months, the former president questioned why he should ⁣submit himself to condemnations from other contenders, whom he leads by vast ⁤majorities in GOP voter polls.

While the interview is not technically live⁣ like‌ the other debates, the ‌decision to run it just before the Fox program could be a way for⁤ Trump to divert attention away from ⁢what might be a‌ key time for⁤ his competitors to gain momentum.

However, since ⁣Trump’s polling numbers lead by‍ a⁢ wide‍ margin and ⁤he⁤ is expected to be the final GOP nominee, he could also be looking for candidates for vice president in his administration.
