Trump announces he is cutting all funding to South Africa due to a ‘massive’ human rights violation

President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he will be ordering a stop to all U.S. funding to South Africa until an investigation is conducted into a “massive” human rights violation in the African nation.

The president pointed out the confiscation of land by South Africa as well as class conflict as reasons for the halt in funding in a post on Truth Social.

“South Africa is confiscating land, and treating certain classes of people VERY BADLY. It is a bad situation that the Radical Left Media doesn’t want to so much as mention. A massive Human Rights VIOLATION, at a minimum, is happening for all to see. The United States won’t stand for it, we will act. Also, I will be cutting off all future funding to South Africa until a full investigation of this situation has been completed!” Trump said.

South Africa is viewed by the United States as a key strategic partner, according to the State Department.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
