Trump asks for a ‘second chance’ for Anheuser-Busch ahead of fundraiser hosted by lobbyist

Former President Donald Trump called on his supporters to give Anheuser-Busch another chance Tuesday in a post to Truth Social that praised the brand for the work it does for the U.S.

“The Bud Light ad was a mistake of epic proportions, and for that a very big price was paid, but Anheuser-Busch is not a Woke company, but I can give you plenty that are, am building a list, and might just release it for the World to see,” Trump posted.

“Why not, the Radical Left does it viciously to well run, Conservative companies — and people!”

While “woke” corporations do little to better people’s everyday lives, Anheuser-Busch has a history of affecting the lives of farmers, service members, and students, according to Trump.

Look at what the company does for so many Americans and their track record over the years. They made a huge mistake and have paid a large price. I think it is time to move forward – I am saying we should focus on big picture…agreeing with 45!

Anheuser-Busch is a Great American Brand that perhaps deserves a Second Chance?”

Trump was one of many on the Right who appeared to abandon Anheuser-Busch when it went “woke” and used Dylan Mulvaney, a biological male who identifies as female, to promote Bud Light while dressed as Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s in April 2023.

The return of Anheuser-Busch to Trump’s graces appears to have inspired others to give the brand a second chance.

Following the former president’s post, Caitlyn Jenner took to X to echo Trump’s sentiment.

“As someone that worked for this incredible American company, and got to know them very well, I raced for @AnheuserBusch in the 80’s I agree with @realDonaldTrump,” Jenner posted. “Look at what the company does for so many Americans and their track record over the years. They made a huge mistake and have paid a large price.”

“I think it is time to move forward — I am saying we should focus on big picture … agreeing with 45!”

In December, Kid Rock, who famously shot cases of Bud Light following Mulvaney’s promotion, told Tucker Carlson that Anheuser-Busch had suffered enough.

“I think they got some work still to get, you know, some of that base they lost,” Rock said on The Tucker Carlson Encounter. “I’ve said a few times, I’d love to see them get triple fratty … hit it head-on, kind of make light of the situation, self-deprecation, you know.”

“There’s nothing wrong with giving a spanking, you know, your kid does something wrong or … maybe is going to harm themselves, but you don’t spank them for the rest of their life,” he added. “Someone gets taught a lesson, they say, ‘We’ve made a mistake.’ All right, man, let’s move on. … We’ve done it for a whole lot worse. … What about Japan … Germany?”

Trump’s call for his supporters to hop back on the Bud Light train came the same day Jeff Miller, a lobbyist who has been hired by Anheuser-Busch, announced the hosting of a fundraiser for Trump next month.

“Now is the time to unite for America’s future,” the post said. “Join us on March 6th as we stand with Donald Trump to reignite our nation’s leadership and chart a course for renewed strength at home and abroad.”
