Former President Donald Trump electrified a gathering of conservative Christian activists, delivering a passionate speech that touched on his recent legal battles and his stance on key issues. The Road to Majority Policy Conference in Washington, DC, hosted by the Faith and Freedom Coalition, provided the perfect platform for Trump to rally his fiercely loyal supporters.

“Every time the radical Left Democrats, Marxists, communists, and fascists indict me, I consider it a great badge of courage,” Trump declared as he took the stage.

Despite facing legal troubles, Trump’s popularity remains strong, as evidenced by the enthusiastic cheers he received from the crowd even when he wasn’t physically present at the conference. He continues to lead the GOP presidential field in polling.

Legal Troubles and Defiant Stance

Special counsel Jack Smith recently indicted Trump and his personal aide Walt Nauta on multiple counts related to mishandling classified documents. Trump faces 37 felony charges, including violations of the Espionage Act, while Nauta faces six criminal counts.

During their arraignment, Trump pleaded not guilty to all charges, asserting that his actions were within his rights as president and in accordance with federal law.

“Under the Presidential Records Act … I had every right to have these documents, personal belongings, and boxes,” Trump asserted during his address.

Trump criticized the National Archives and Records Administration, referring to them as a “radical Left group” that lacked the authority to designate materials as presidential records.

Despite his legal battles, Trump proudly proclaimed that his presidential campaign was still thriving. “I’m probably the only person in the history of this country that’s been indicted and my numbers went up,” he boasted, prompting chants of “USA! USA! USA!” from the audience.

Staunch Pro-Life Advocate

On the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, Trump highlighted his role in shaping the court’s conservative tilt by nominating three justices. He expressed pride in his accomplishments and his commitment to pro-life policies.

“As your president, I will continue to stand proudly for pro-life policies just as I did for four strong years,” Trump declared.

While he stopped short of endorsing a federal abortion ban, Trump acknowledged the importance of the federal government’s role in protecting unborn life.

Challenging His Former Vice President

Former Vice President Mike Pence, who is also running for president, challenged other candidates to endorse a 15-week abortion ban. Pence’s participation in National Celebrate Life Day further emphasized his focus on the issue.

Trump seized the opportunity to criticize Pence’s past stances on the right to life, highlighting his own attendance at the March for Life rally during his presidency. He vowed to continue fighting against what he called “demented late-term abortionists.”

Championing His Record and Defending Conservative Values

Trump took pride in his achievements while in office, including his Remain in Mexico policy, withdrawal from the Iran Nuclear Deal, establishment of the Space Force, and relocation of the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

He received thunderous applause for endorsing the parental rights movement, opposing vaccine mandates in schools, standing against certain transgender policies, and pledging to uphold the Second Amendment.

While Trump did not comment on the recent Russian military rebellion, he expressed confidence in his ability to resolve conflicts. He promised to settle the war between Russia and Ukraine before even stepping foot in the Oval Office.

Ultimately, Trump positioned himself as the defender of conservative values, vowing to protect the freedom of his supporters and promising to obliterate the Deep State upon his return to the presidency. His powerful speech earned him a standing ovation from the energized crowd.
