Trump dismisses indictment as ‘nonsense’ at New Hampshire rally.
Former President Donald Trump Slams Indictment as “Bulls***” at Campaign Rally
During a campaign rally in Windham, New Hampshire, on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump passionately addressed his latest federal grand jury indictment, referring to it as “bulls***.” He expressed frustration over being forced to divert time and resources away from his campaign to fight what he believes are baseless accusations and charges.
“How can my corrupt political opponent, crooked Joe Biden, put me on trial during an election campaign that I’m winning by a lot?” he asked. ”But forcing me nevertheless to spend time and money away from the campaign trail in order to fight bogus, made-up accusations and charges, that’s what they’re doing. I’m sorry, I won’t be able to go to Iowa today. I won’t be able to go to New Hampshire today because I’m sitting in a courtroom on bulls*** because his attorney general charged me with something. Terrible.”
Trump’s Allies in the White House
Amidst the rally, Trump also shared his thoughts on potential allies who could join him in the White House. He kept a close eye on six individuals whom he believed could support his cause.
Trump’s Bold Claims and Chants of “Bulls***!”
The crowd, filled with enthusiasm, erupted in chants of “Bulls***!” after Trump’s powerful speech. Grateful for their support, Trump acknowledged their fervor with a simple “Thank you very much.”
Last week, Trump faced his third indictment, this time from a federal grand jury, regarding his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Special counsel Jack Smith charged Trump with four federal counts, to which the former president pleaded not guilty during his arraignment in federal court.
Trump confidently asserted that he was leading in the polls against Biden and even claimed that his chief rival, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), was losing to Biden.
“But these incredible numbers are the primary reason that crooked Joe Biden has weaponized law enforcement,” Trump said. “He’s done something that nobody thought, they talked about it but nobody ever did it, never to this extent, and ordered his top political opponent, me, arrested … right in the middle of a presidential election that Biden is losing badly.”
Despite facing multiple indictments and a potential fourth indictment from a Georgia investigation, Trump insisted that his poll numbers were rising. He humorously checked the polls after each indictment, suggesting that another indictment would seal his victory. According to the latest Morning Consult poll, Trump had a commanding lead at 59%, while his competitors lagged behind in the single digits.
However, Trump’s remarks about DeSantis took a derogatory turn, as he referred to him using offensive language. Trump expressed disappointment in DeSantis for running for president after Trump had endorsed him in his successful 2018 gubernatorial campaign.
“These maniacs are screaming, would you run against the president? Would you run? Will you run? And he goes, ‘I have no comment,'” Trump recounted. “To me, that means he’s running. So I said, that son of a b**** is running. Can you believe it? I just got him elected. So that’s why I’ve been particularly hard at him.”
Trump criticized DeSantis’ campaign, claiming it was “crashing” and suggesting that he should have waited until a later election cycle to run for president.
Throughout his speech, the former president reiterated his belief that the 2020 election was “rigged” and “stolen,” a sentiment reflected in his 45-page indictment released the previous week.
Despite facing potential restrictions on what he can publicly share about the case, Trump declared that he would not be silenced. He emphasized that his fight was not just for himself but for the freedom of his supporters.
“They want to take away my freedom because I will never let them take away your freedom. That’s what’s happening,” said Trump. “They want to silence me because I will never let them silence you. And in the end, they’re not after me. They’re after you.”
Remaining defiant, Trump assured his audience that the “never-ending witch hunt” would not deter him. He expressed confidence in his ability to emerge victorious, promising a bigger and better future.
