Former ‍President Donald Trump has ⁢responded to the ⁣idea of⁢ a⁣ sit-down interview with former Fox​ News anchor Tucker Carlson, describing it as ⁤”interesting.” Trump shared this sentiment ‌on his social media platform, Truth Social, where⁣ he⁣ reposted a user’s suggestion to‌ conduct⁢ the interview ‍on the same night as the Republican party’s‌ 2024 primary debate.

Trump’s ​Uncertain Attendance at the Debate

It remains unclear whether Trump will attend⁤ the‍ debate, as he has previously expressed his belief that his strong polling lead negates the need for his presence. In ​response to the‍ idea of ​the interview, Trump wrote, “Interesting? So many⁤ people have suggested this!”

Upcoming‍ Republican Party Primary Debate

The first⁤ Republican party primary debate is scheduled for August 23 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and will be hosted by ​Fox News anchors‍ Bret Baier and ​Martha MacCallum. Florida Governor‌ Ron DeSantis, widely⁢ regarded ‍as Trump’s⁣ main challenger⁣ in the⁤ primary, ​has confirmed his attendance at the debate.

Another candidate ⁣in the GOP 2024 primary‌ race,⁤ Vivek Ramaswamy,‍ announced that‌ he‌ has met the necessary criteria to participate in⁢ the debate. He also pledged his support to ‍the Republican National Committee’s nominee for president, regardless of who it may be.

The suggestion for Trump to do an interview ‌with Carlson‍ comes after the former Fox ⁤News anchor’s highly ‍viewed two-and-a-half-hour interview with social media influencer and former kickboxer Andrew Tate.‍ Carlson released the interview on Twitter‌ earlier​ this month, ⁢and it has already garnered an impressive 94.8 million views.

Trump’s⁣ Strong Showing in Straw ⁤Poll

At ​the​ Turning Point Action Conference held in West ⁤Palm Beach,⁢ Florida, Trump ‌emerged as the clear winner ​of the Republican presidential ‌primary straw poll.⁤ He received an overwhelming 85.7% of the vote, ​with businessman Perry Johnson coming in second ⁤with 7.8%,‍ and DeSantis ‌in ​third with 4.3%.
